I had seen those spacebags on TV so many times but never tried them. Then I saw on DIY network were they used regular garbage bags and it looked good but I'm a skeptic. Well I had three very large down winter coats that I wanted to mail to my brother so I thought I'd give it a try. I didn't even use the heavy garbage bags just the cheap ones. I hooked up my vacuum hose to the bag and held the end of the bag tightly around the nozzle and turned it on. I was amazed at how it worked, those big coats shrunk down to such a small size that I didn't have to use a big box to mail them and pay the extra postage for an oversized box. Saved me a lot of money. I thought when I took the hose out of the bag that the air would all come back in but it was so easy, I just twisted the top of the bag, put a twister bag tie on it and it stayed that way for hours before I put it in the box to mail. So any of you who sell quilts comforters or fabric you should really try this out. What ever is put in the bag comes out unwrinkled just like you put it in. What a savings on those who need to use oversized box's to ship in. I just had to pass this hint along, hope it helps someone with their shipping problems and saves you some money.
