Beware of bidding on something from a seller who has more items listed, than they have feedback.

It has become a trend for small time hustlers to list everything they can find listed in some automotive catalog, take your money, then hope they can deliver.

Often times, who ever they thought they could turn around and buy it from, once the can-artist has your hard earned cash, can't supply it.

Then you either get a VERY SLOW delivery, or end up having to file fraud on the wana-be parts seller.

eBay used to have rules against  'catalog sales', but not any longer.

So this problem is rampant.

Honest sellers, who invest their hard earned money into inventory, have a hard time competing with the fly-by-night, get-Rich-quick sellers who don't carry any inventory.

And when the fly-by-night sellers get into just a little too much trouble, they close their account (if they are not kicked off eBay first), and open another ID.

So be VERY careful who you buy from. Sellers with repeated slow deliveries are not worth the few bucks you save over buying from someone who wants to give good service.

I am again having to deal with a wana-be rip-off artist, that in his auction (under at least his second eBay ID) states 'in stock, and ready to ship'. Over 2 weeks, and the wanabe supra parts seller (who likes to play big-shot on several supra forums) is not responding to my asking him where my $425 ATI dampener is. Now my project is behind schedule, and all because I didn't buy from a reputable, established performance company.

I finally wized up, and called one of the national performance companys for the same part. They not only had it, but it was also $28 cheaper!!

So look at a seller's feedback, and other auctions. Is this seller for real, with a good track record?

Or is he a seller who bought the late-night info-mercial DVD on how to get rich quick on eBay? Does he have multiple neutral feedbacks on slow delivery? Is he recycling pictures of items that you know you have seen on the manufacture's web-site, or on-line catalog?

If so, steer clear. Dealing with a get-Rich quick wana-be is just not worth the trouble!!
