1. Seller said he restored the car.
2. Numbers matching, etc.
3. The photo's showed the car to be immaculate.
4. I called the seller FLMuscleSpeed and spoke with him and specifically asked all the right questions. (I've worked on and collected muscle cars for 35+ years) The seller said the car could be driven anywhere and was perfect.
I called the previous owner after getting the title and was told he had blown the engine up and told the buyer it was NOT the original engine.
Also the previous owner told me the car was a rust bucket.
Upon getting the car from Fed Ex transport I didn't even want it off the truck - it was JUNK. The car was filled with bondo and not even close to being straight. The passenger door was hung by a newbie and wouldn't even open.
The chrome rocker panels were dinged so bad by whom ever put them on you could only laugh when looking at them.
So either you have a liar or someone who doesn't know what the heck they are doing - in either event it is not good.
To boot: I loaded this car on a car carrier less than 5 hours after it arrived and on the promise from the seller he would return my $29,000+ when the car got put on the truck -- I WAITED ALMOST 2 FULL WEEKS TO GET MY MONEY BACK. I had to write letters to: the FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL, THE FLORIDA STATE POLICE AND EBAY FRAUD DEPARTMENT. Only after the seller got copies of the letters did he return my money in full. (not including the transport fee)
Then the seller leaves me negative feedback for being 100% truthful.
This guy took a rust buck - wet sanded it, filled it full of bondo/mud and sprayed it black (over the red paint) - not even a good job at that.
The engine was rebuilt - but done poorly and over heated quickly and wouldn't stay running according to both transport drivers.
If you buy from Florida Muscle & Speed with out doing a full onsite inspection you are probably at risk of not getting what you paid for. I can supply full undisputed documentation for this horror story - the seller only has lies after lies that he will tell you.
Have an inspection done first - it might save you thousands.
