For the last five months I have been giving all U S buyers TOTALLY FREE SHIPPING. Still my shipping DSR is only 4.91% out of 5.00. Ebay comes up and reminds people when they are leaving feddback that shipping was FREE. Still some people leave less than perfect feedback in that category.
I don't get it. What does a seller have to do? Start paying everybody for shipping their item? or, Give the item for free. too?
The fact is - my items sell for an average of $15.00 to $25.00 each. Of that money, $3.00 to $3.50 is spent on shipping and mailers. Sometimes more if we include insurance (which ebay, no longer allows us to charge for). If the item was a fixed price sale, ebay gets 15 %, or $3.75. They also get another $1.00 plus, for Paypal fees (because ebay no longer allows us to advertise that we accept cash, checks, or money orders).
If you are not counting - that is a minimum of $8.25 spent before I even count in listing fees.Which can add up to several dollars more, depending upon how long it has been listed.
Sorry to complain so much, but it just doesn't seem right to be rated unfairly for loosing money giving free shipping.
