I have purchased about 20 fishing reels on Ebay in the past few months. About 75 percent of them have been worse than described. A couple of them had incorrect parts on them.  In two cases I contacted the sellers and got partial refunds. I always ask questions  and check feedback and look very carefully at photos but photos do not tell you if the reel operates properly. I am not sure how this problem could be fixed but many many fishing reels are overstated.
