I was curious. Why didn't the red push-down button ring the blue bell on this Fisher Price Cottage Little People House anymore? It seemed stuck inside. There were no screws to take out. So I turned it over to find that two bottom green plastic pieces holding the red button was snuggly fit and locked inside.
With my "tools" - three butter knives, I widened this area carefully while pushing out the locking center green plastic pieces. Wow! It worked! The pieces popped out from the other side and I was able to remove the tube with the stuck red piece. When the red piece in the tubing was able to move up and down while pushing the red soft plastic button to ding the blue bell, I replaced it easily and locked it back in place by pushing the top green piece holding the red button down carefully.
This shows you how tough Fisher Price items can last for years & even longer with simple repair. This adorable sound playset cottage/house is now in perfect working condition!
