There are many types of Nixon watches. All have unique qualities that fit with different people. Finaly there is way to find out which one of those you are. Just awnser my 101 question test and you will know exactly, OR you can take my revised 10 question quize and get pretty darn close to knowing. Interested...good keep reading. This review will cover mens watches and I'll write another about womens later.

First lets start with the catagories. Nixon has broken their watches (dont worry still under warrenty) into three distinct classes, first class, business class, and coach...hmmm do those catagories sound familiar? Im going to guess they come up with this on a long flight cramped in coach class. The first class watches are by far the most popular and some of thier biggest hits are in the catagory. Business class also has some great watches but you have to be selective on what you like. Coach class...well hey, they keep time!

To save you time (at no extra cost) I am going to break put up the quize and tell you what section to read depending on your awnser. Ready...get out your pencils...GO!

1. Are you a surfer that could benefits from knowing high and low tides?

2. Are you a fashion enthusiast that prefers to look good than to know exactly what time it is?

3. Do  you do a lot of diving or want people to think you do?

4. Do you hate watch hands going tick tick every single second of every single day your every waking moment....!?

5. Do you know the difference between the big hand or the little hand or do you prefer blinking numbers?

6-10. Do you hate it when someone says they have 10 questions but they can only think of 6...(or 5 applicable ones)

GOOD! you have completed the test. Any question you answered yes to go to that numbered paragraph below. If you answered maybe to any questions then read the corresponding paragraph to EXACTLY half way and then let your mind wander. Easy enough right!

1. Nixon has the tide collection. They are both waterproof and they keep track of the tide movements. Some are in digital form others are analog. The digital ones are the Superhero SS, the Lowdown, the Key,the Delta and....well the others are not as good...My favorite in this catagory is the Superhero SS. Come with may preprogrammed tide times. So that way you can be at one beach and know clearly that you should have gone to the other one. The Superhero SS comes in stainless steel and Black. There are also some great analog tide watches like the Tide Rover and Channel T. They have a clock like hand that tells you the tide and moon stage. Below is a picture of the Superhero.

2. Ok, if you said yes to this question you have a lot of choices. There is the Nixon Player, Banks and the Duke. These three come in a great variety of color and have very little or no time markings at all. The Nixon Player has one diamond at the 6'oclock position and thats it. Hey works perfect if your only important appointment is at 6! The same is true with the Duke which come in a leather band but also a real diamond marking the 6'oclock position. The Banks has no time markings but has two addtional small dials. They have all sorts of creative colors for the faces. One of the most popular and different ones has been the sky plaid. Both the Banks and the Player have this color. The duke has a brown and black face that has a light fade from inside to outside. Below is a picture of the Banks and Player in sky plaid.

3. Wow is a great options for divers. The first and foremost is the Nixon 51-30 PU diver watch. It is XXL with the clock face covering your entire wrist area. You can dive down a bazzillion feet (no wait my sources are tell me 300 meters actually) without your watch imploding. Its oversize style makes many non-divers get it just for the looks (or perhaps they have a deep fish tank that they clean without removing their watch) A cheaper alternative is the Nixon Cannon which is also good underwater just not so deep. Below is a picture of the 51-30 PU.

4. You hate to see the watch hands ticking? Does it make you feel old? Well I have the perfect watch. The Nixon Rotolog has the most unique time movement of all its watches. Instead of hands the clock number turn on a wheel. There is a little window in the front where you can see what hour number and minute is going by. Cooler yet is the wood inlays in the band and face cover of the watch. This combo makes the Rotolog the most innovative watch from Nixon. Its my favorite and one I wear. Like the Banks and Player you can get all sorts of wood and colors on this watch. The latest is the limited edition Rotolog Modical. I just sold number 500 out of 1000 of this watch so they are half gone! Fear not, there are many other colors that are as good or better. Below is a picture of a few of the Rotolog colors.

5. So you are analogaly challenged? (analogaly, a derivative from analog, I have requested it be added to the dictionary) There are plenty of digital watches from Nixon. Lets start with my favorite the Nixon Insider. It is a heavy over size watch that has preprogrammed times in 30 different cities around the world. You just press a button and it will start showing you the times. Great if you do business with overseas customers or if you have relatives in another country. That way when you call them at your convenience you can check on your watch to see why they sound groggy answering the phone. The block SS is a retro style watch that is simple but nice. Also there is a voice watch called the Dork (who you calling a dork?) which can speak the time. Lastly the Dictator can record up to 3 minutes of voice time...whoopie right. Below is a picture of the Insider.

6.Ha ha, so you want to know if I have a watch for those irritated with my lack of 10 questions. WELL I DO! Its the Nixon Capital. It is a simple straight forward unirritating watch. It is a normal watch beefed up. The face is large and you can get a couple of cool colors. The most unique color combo they have is the brown face with the blue outline. So here it is below.

So there you go...now you should know exactly which watch is right for you. Sure I may have skiped a few watches but thats because I know you dont really need to know about them. It may also be because they just arent cool or Im to lazy to write about them all. If you can find more than 5 misspellings, incomplete sentences or words entirely made up then come to my ebay store email me those words and I'll give you $5.00 off any of my Nixon watches. Hey thanks for reading this! Look at the time, I've got to go.
