I got an idea from a fellow ebayer and a friend of mine today.  It is actually a strategy that I'd been using for a while now, but after he sent me an email about a cd he found by a guitarist who we both like it struck me to write this guide to possibly help other ebayer's find music that they may not even know exists.  I am a big fan of the band Tesla, and so is my friend who is also known as "pnm4music" here on ebay.  The band Tesla broke up for a few years and after the re-unification they began to make new music together but unfortunately without one of their original members, guitarist Tommy Skeoch.  Tommy has a long running drug problem and was replaced by the band with Dave Rude another native Californian.  Dave recorded both Reel to Real releases (which are actually the songs that the band members of Tesla claimed inspiration from when they were first starting out as a band) and the late Fall 2008 release of all new material known as Forever More.  Dave really has replaced Tommy very well, and in fact is an awesome guitarist in his own right.  My inspiration to write this guide, comes from my friend asking me if I'd noticed the listing for sale on ebay of Dave Rude's Band.  I had known about his earlier work with another California band known as The Servants, but did not know about Dave's own band material.  A lot of us who are fans of assorted bands, like Tesla or any other may be well served to actually look for listings by typing in different band members names as a search.  You may or may not know about a particular member of a band having a solo career or having done work with another band, but this type of strategy may help you find more musical options than you may have known even existed.  Even music collectors and people who really enjoy finding new and different cd's could be well served by employing this strategy.  You never know what you may turn up, possibly you could get lucky and find things that you never knew existed.  Good luck with your search, and I hope that this little tip helps you in your search for more and more cool tunes to own!
