Finding a Used Jet Ski
Here are a few tips for finding a terrific used jet ski (or terrific used jet ski components). First of all, figure out your mission's requirements. In some states, pre-regulation jet ski models may emit more pollution than is allowed by the Clean Air Act or by local waterway regs.
Second, although high-end jet skies perform well, take riders fast, and offer accelerating style, if you want to save some cash on your purchase, you may want to opt for either super speed or super style. Top personal watercraft can best 110 kilometers per hour. Other more cushy jet skies provide sun pads, drink holders, and ergonomic seats for cruising.
Top jet ski brands include Kawasaki Watercraft, Sea-Doo products marketed by Bombardier Recreational, and Yamaha Wave Runners. You can also find the somewhat less well known Honda Aquatrax and minor brand jet skies. Both Arctic Cat and Polaris Industries used to manufacture personal watercraft, but these companies now stick primarily to snowboarding crafts and gear.
You can discuss your environmental concerns with the Bluewater Network, or you can talk to your seller about emissions production. Some jet skis, such as the LRV Sea Doo, require major transportation initiatives. Others, such as small Yamaha Wave Runners, can fit in the back of large SUVs. Certain watercraft are made for open sea conditions. Others are meant for lake or river cruising. You may want to take your jet ski in for an engine checkup once in a while to ensure that your oil and lubrication levels are up to par.
