MEASURING GUIDE

Having your own measurements close by when shopping online is always a great idea. Making sure you have accurate measurements of yourself can make buying clothing online much easier and wiser.

To find your clothing size, take your actual body measurements; if you measure over clothing they are not as accurate.

BUST MEASUREMENT: Measure around the fullest part of  bust and across shoulder blades.

WAIST MEASUREMENT: Measure around the natural waist with the tape taut (about 6 inches down from the bust).

HIP MEASUREMENT: With feet together, measure around fullest part of your  bottom (about 8 inches below natural waistline).

INSEAM MEASUREMENT: Measure from inside of leg at the crotch to where pants would be worn on shoes.

To measure for the following garments:

JACKET: Measure from the center of the back of neck to hemline. The length depends on the style of the garment.

SKIRT: Measure from natural waistline to desired hemline on leg.

DRESS: Measurement taken the same as a skirt.

Be aware that not all manufacturers clothing is sized exactly the same. A good solution is to have a garment or garments that fit well (especially from you favorite designers); take the measurements of those garments and you should have no problem buying proper fitting sizes online.

Don't be afraid to ask for better measurements from a seller. If you feel that you need more information about a garment before you can confidently bid, then definately ask...and ask BEFORE you place a bid. Being sellers of clothing, we welcome all comments and questions from potential buyers and have many times posted the questions to our ads because we feel they have helped us describe our item or provide information about the item in more detail. By asking a simple question you just may be helping the seller with selling an item even if you don't follow through and purchase it yourself..so ask away!!!
