Perhaps one of the best ways to buy items to reseller on eBay.com is to
look for sleeper deals. One of the most creative ways I have noticed
that people use to capitalize on this is to look for items that are
commonly misspelled.
If a keyword or phrase relating to a product is misspelled AND it is a term that a prospective eBay.com buyer might use to find the item they are looking to buy, then you usually have a sleeper auction. That is what I refer to as an auction that has a good product at a very good starting price and noone has bid or the bids have remained low because of the misspelling. If your timing is right and you find a "sleeper" then you can pick up the item for next to nothing, correct the spelling in your listing and resell the same item for double or even triple what you paid for it.
Examples of common misspellings are:
"lazer" instead of "laser"
"pavillion" instead of "pavilion"
and
"speach" instead of "speech"
So, if you are looking for one or more "laser pointers" on eBay.com but the seller has mistakenly misspelled it as "lazer pointers", then it is likely you can find the auction by searching on the misspelling and pick up the pointer(s) very cheaply, then correct the typographical error and resell the same item for a profit.
The same is true to an "HP Pavillion" Computer versus an "HP Pavilion" computer or "Speach Recognition Software" versus "Speech Recognition Software".
If you find enough sleeper auctions you can actually buy and reseller everything right from eBay without going out shopping or finding a wholesaler.
To find common misspellings I recommend typing in "common misspellings" or "commonly misspelled words" at Google.com.
This is just a very brief guide to finding sleeper deals on eBay.com.
I will try to post a new guide regarding other ways of finding sleeper deals in the coming weeks.
My best to everyone on Ebay!
