Hello:

Numerous "secret" wholesale & dropshipper source lists are sold on Ebay.  Some offer legitimate information, while other lists are just garbage.  Finding a good wholesale source can be time consuming and frustrating for folks who don't know how or where to look for sources.  This guide will hopefully provide you some useful information on how to find wholesale and dropshipping sources.

There are literally 1,000's of wholesale product suppliers both in the USA and Overseas.  If a product is being sold, there is a wholesaler or direct producer to be found.  In buying goods wholesale, it is best to find a true wholesaler, not a middleman who is charging a percentage above a true wholesale price.  Most true wholesalers do not sell to individuals.

In fact, many wholesalers require a proof of business before they will sell to you.  Proof can be in the form of a state issued business certificate/license, federal tax ID number or a state resale certificate.  Many also require credit checks and a credit account to be established.  Also, many of these wholesalers require that goods be bought in large quantities which can drive costs sky high.  Basically, if you are a person who is just looking to make some extra cash on Ebay or at a flea market and not willing to set up a true business, forget about obtaining goods at true wholesale prices.

This is where the wholesale middleman comes into play.  Many of these middlemen have less stringent selling requirements (no proof of business needed).  They also sell in smaller quantities, where a minimum order might only be $100 - a much more realistic buying situation for a person just starting out.  The profit margin is smaller using a middleman, but careful budgeting can help you save profits and in-turn roll them over into buying bigger quantities, which usually offer a bigger discount.

Running an Ebay or internet business takes careful planning.  Finding a good wholesale source is one of the most important things a business owner needs in regards to making a profitable bottom line.  My Ebay Store (Striker Publications) lists several wholesale trade directories that can get you on the right path in finding a good wholesale supplier.  Contact information is supplied, so you can deal directly with the source and work out the particulars of your business needs.

Best of luck in your business ventures!
