Hi,  My name is Jay Kerch,  and I buy AND sell tons of dogs on ebay under the handle perk2401,  and have found it is sometimes difficult to find listings of dogs that I am looking for.  For example,  I collect english bulldogs,  but often, sellers list this breed under confusing and different names that make them hard to find.  If a seller is not really a dog person like we are,  then they usually don't know what breed they are listing,  and either don't list the breed at all by just calling it Dog,  or mistake it for another.  Often listers of bulldogs for example will use the word Boxer instead.  This will be a problem for any of you looking for the breed that you are looking for,  so here are some helpful solutions I have learned over the years so I don't miss out on the dogs that interest me the most.  First of all,  make sure you don't just search under your breed name under the "dogs" category.  Often your dogs will be listed on the "others" category,  or mistakenly listed.  Boston terriers for example are often listed at bulldogs or boxers,  and boxers are often listed as bulldogs.  People almost never list their terriers correctly,  calling them all scotty dogs instead of sealyhams or cairns,  or westies.  These are just a few examples.  So,  the best way to find the dog breed you are looking for is by trial and error,  and then tyring to remember by writing down the mistaken categories and search words your favorite dogs have been found under.  When searching for my bulldogs,  I always use the term "dogs" plural as well,  as often, the people who are selling a grouping of dogs may have a bulldog in the set that I might like, and not even mention the separate breeds by name that they have in the grouping,  so I will buy the whole collection and sell back the ones I don't like,  or give them to friends who have the other breeds. You will also find that dealers miss-spell their dog breeds,  calling boston terriers "boxton terriers" for example,  etc....  You will be amazed at how many different ways sellers list their dog figurines,  and if you want to really develop your collection at the best prices,  you need to get really creative in how you search for your dogs!!  :-)  Those of you who have been on ebay for years may find this to be just common sense and silly to bother writing about,  but those of you who are new to this site may find this very helpful.
