FF7 has a compatibility issue with WinXP. This causes the game to crash when you reach the Chocobo Race mini-game. It also sometimes causes graphical errors when the game is first run.

To fix it, you can download a patch from download.com (search for 'FF7 WinXP Patch').

There are no other known problems with the game.
