The original Blu-Ray versions of The Fifth Element were of extremely poor quality, worst that standard DVD's. Sony has stepped up to the plate from the feedback and is now offering the "Re-mastered" version. If you buy or already have the poor quality version Sony will exchange it for free (way to go Sony!). The original crappy version can be identified by the obvious poor quality playback but also on the front cover the words "Experience High Definition" are on a gray background and the back cover has "Dolby digital" logo. The re-mastered on has "Experience High Definition" on a bright silver background and the back cover has Dolby TrueHD 5.1. So if you bought one before say mid July 2007 you are sure to have an old original version.

Email: consumer@sphecustomersupport.sony.com
They will ask you to mail it back to SPHE Consumer Support, PO Box 157, Neenah, WI 54957, atten: 833851. It does take quit a while, like 4 weeks to get the new one back but the difference in quality is worth the wait.
Hope this was helpful to all those who have been disappointed with the original release in Blu-ray.
