RESEARCH - RESEARCH - RESEARCH!!!!  That's the key to buying Fiesta pitchers on Ebay.  Some of the sellers are very knowledgeable and know the vintage colors from the new colors.  When you are buying Fiesta pitchers, you have to know the vintage colors from the new colors.  Some of the old pitchers, the medium green, for instance, can sell for thousands of dollars, depending on the condition.  There is a new color that is very similar to the old medium green, so research before you buy.

There are many books out there on the subject of Fiesta and all Homer Laughlin pottery.  These books are your best resource to make sure that what you are buying is truly vintage.  Some of the new colors are so similar to the old ones, that it really takes an expert to tell the difference, or you have to compare them side by side.

While some of the older pitchers are pretty pricey, you should be able to buy the new colors, still being made, for around $20.00.   Some of the new colors have been retired and can be almost as expensive as the vintage pitchers.  Lilac being one example of a new color that can be expensive.  There was not a lot of the Lilac made before the color was retired.

Most importantly, be sure to ask questions of the seller.  They usually know the vintage from the new.

Some of the odd size pitchers will sell for more than the large water pitcher.  The juice pitcher and the mini are harder to find and usually worth the higher price, just to have that one color that you're missing.

So in buying Fiesta pitchers, your most important resource is research.  Go to any search engine and type in Homer Laughlin and you'll be directed to sites where you can buy resource books.  Ebay is the Fiesta collector's favorite place, where else can you find thousands of pieces of  this bright, colorful pottery all in one spot?

So, have fun, look to your heart's content, and be sure to do your homework!!
