Posting Positive or Negative Feedback
After finally receiving my first negative feedback, I questioned whether or not to wait, before posting my own.
As a Seller, I decided not to wait but to post as soon as the Buyer had lived up to their end of the bargain. Why you may ask ? Why not wait until you see, what type of feedback was left for me ? As important as I view the result of my transaction, retaliatory negative feedback is unfair and childish. I believe within your description, honesty is the only way to present your item. If its scratched, dirty, broken, untested or has any other flaw it should be noted. Conversely, if your item is new, mint, near mint, unused etc. these attributes should not only be noted , but appear in your heading as keywords.
eBay gives you the right to answer any feedback left for you and also the right to follow up any feedback you have left. I've found, most buyers are tolerant of breakage up to a point and are also willing to give you a chance to remedy the situtation. Refunds, whether partial or full if they apply are simple to negotiate via PayPal. As a Buyer myself, although there were a few times I could have left negatives, but gave the seller a chance to work it out. As a Seller, 3 Non-Paying Bidders were given neutrals. So far, my experience has still been positive, with many online acquaintances made. Its still the best "Garage Sale" in the world. Weekend Update.............. I recently recieved my 2nd negative & this from a seller I paid immediately. We went through the dispute resolution process. He lost. I unfortunately threw out what I needed as proof to PayPal & eBay so the negative wasn't removed, but I proved my point & hopefully he'll learn how to pack & ship glass items. This process took nearly a month to resolve. 1 Jerk after nearly 400 transactions........... Not to Shabby............. Have Fun.........Eddie
