Feedback is one of the most important things on Ebay for both buyers and sellers. Feedback affects on how well you succeed on Ebay as a buyer or a seller.  In this guide I am going to share some helpful hints and how-to's about feedback.

When To Leave Feedback

A lot of people often wonder when they should leave feedback. Buyers should leave feedback within 24 hours of receiving an item. Sellers should leave feedback within 24 hours of receiving feedback from the buyer. No one should ever have to wait too long to receive feedback.

How To's

For Buyers

1) If you are a buyer and receive the wrong item, a defective item or an item that just isn't what the seller described always be sure to contact the seller via the Ebay messaging system or request their contact information*  before leaving feedback ,a simple email or phone call can solve most product issues. if you still don't get anywhere click on the live help icon on top of most pages to speak with an Ebay representative.
2) If you have not received an item within 15 days of sending your payment, first contact the seller via the ebay messaging system if they do not respond, retrieve their contact info ,if you still do not get anywhere or get a disconnected line click on the live help link on the top of most Ebay pages and speak with an Ebay representative. After that look to see how long the seller has been part of Ebay if less than 30 days leave Neutral feedback, if longer than 30 days leave negative feedback.

For Sellers

1) If you are a seller and have not received payment for an item within 7 days of the end of an auction or have received a returned check contact the buyer via Ebay's messaging system or request contact info.* before leaving negative feedback, sometimes a simple email or phone call can resolve most product issues. If you still do not get anywhere open an unpaid item dispute, and hopefully this will get their attention. If you never receive your payment after doing all these steps Ebay will issue a credit for the final value fee in most cases. When leaving feedback for unpaid items  look to see how long the buyer has been part of ebay if less than 30 days leave Neutral feedback and if more than 30 days.
