Feedback 5 Star Rating System for SHIPPING TIME
Ebay users need to make sure they understand that this new "star" rating system that is accompanying the feedback, strictly speaking about the star for SHIPPING TIME, means the time that it takes the seller to actually ship your item upon receiving your cleared payment - not the time it takes for you to receive your item!!
Sellers do not have any control over the time it takes the postal service (or other carrier) to deliver your package once it leaves their hands. The star for shipping time is not meant to be for the time it takes you to receive your package. I think that some ebayers are confused about this star and do not always give the appropriate number.
In all fairness to the seller, pay close attention to the estimated shipping time that is stated in the auction. If the shipping time is listed as 2 days or 3 days, the seller deserves 5 stars if they ship the item within that timeframe. If you're unhappy that the seller might take 3 days to initiate shipping, and that is the timeframe listed in the auction, don't bid! It's unfair to the seller to leave less than 5 stars based on your personal feelings that the item didn't arrive to you as quickly as you would have liked. BE FAIR TO THE SELLER!!!!!!
