Just a quick note on a subject that has been on my mind for several weeks now. Feed Back. What is it, and how does it work. Not EBAY's explanation, but real life. Feed Back is supposed to be an honest overview of your transaction with a buyer or a seller. In most cases this is true, but there are a lot of people out there that are out of control, and hateful. As an example, no names given, I bought an object from a seller. Many emails went back and forth discussing condition, operation and overall condition. Everything seemed to be in place. I own a company that was buying a piece of equipment for the business. I was flying when the auction ended, so it took me 20 minutes after the auction was finished to pay for it. I paid for the item, and contacted the seller and he was out of town and it took him a week and a half to ship out the unit. All together it took 3 weeks to get the product. It wasn't a problem because the unit was "worked" and it would fit into my business plan. No Problem. I was very understanding, No Sweat Right. After a long wait I got the product, took it out of the box, I gave it to my tech to hook it up and get used to it. It did not work. The person using the equipment is certified and knows what he is talking about. He does some troubleshooting and tells me that several components are bad. Expensive components. I contacted the seller and let him know that it did not work and if the other half of the shipment was coming. He said the box was in the mail, and did not respond to the unit being broken, or DOA. I tried several times to get some response, because he said he hooked it up and worked. This included hooking it up to an aircraft and getting reply signals. Still no response. A week went by and we got several quotes on parts to fix the machine, and after paying over $1300 for the unit, it was feeling a little crappy to spend another $1323.98 to get the unit up and working. Now for the exciting part. I did not leave feedback, i was a little busy, but I bought a couple more items, so I did it all at once. I thought real hard about leaving a NEG Feed, my mind switched back and forth. But this is business right, so I did leave a NEG Feed. And I am a positive person so it was hard fo me to do that. This is what I wrote
Not what expected, Unit DOA, said it worked, over$1300 is a lot of money for DOA
I did not think it was that bad, very docile comment right.. WRONG!
Somehow this person spent the time to find my phone number and call me on my cellphone at 11pm at night and was very nasty. My cell phone number is for my business, so I have no idea how he got it. He called several times that night, and honestly, I was not pleased. So I went to work and fired up the computer and let EBAY know what was going on in an Email. When I got to my account I was shocked to find this
