I traded with fastmemoryman aka Chetan Saraf this summer and have come to deeply regret that I ever did so.
This was the trade for one item of computer memory. It was item 270148891689.

You will never get any satisfaction from this criminal. Most of his feedback on ebay looks good because the goods happen to work, but if you get a dud the following happened to me.
1) Seller said I would have to air mail item to the USA when it had originated in the UK where I live.
2) The seller then sent a second e mail to me when I complained about this which gave the UK sales agent and said that I had misread the original e mail which only had one address anyway.
3) The seller stalls so that all the routes for complaint via ebay and paypal expire.
4) Nearly two months after the purchase and getting on for a month after I returned it I received an e mail saying the item would be sent in 5-6 days.
5) I recently reminded the seller of this and their response has been to suggest that I take steps to have the negative feedback left for them mutually removed from ebay before they shipped the item. This is a kind of blackmail. They want me to remove my negative remarks before they do anything to honour the sale.
6) The other option given was a refund under their terms and conditions which I have said I want, although they have a 14 days return policy. I think that this will be given as an excuse for not giving a refund.
I'm nearly 30 Pounds Sterling down on this sale, I've waited nearly two months and have nothing to show for it. Any ebay trader who was remotely honest would have sent out alternative goods or a refund. I have written to ebay about this but they are very timid about doing anything and all the official channels have expired anyway. Some 200 people a month get ripped off via ebay by this person.

This is a follow-up to my review about Fastmemoryman. The last report ended with my asking this trader for a refund which they have refused to do because the 14 day return period has long expired.
I threatened to report this trader online to the FBI for mail order fraud and actually received a refund of US$17.00 I actually paid 17 Pounds Sterling plus 6 Pounds postage and asked for the remainder to be returned. This was refused.
The trader is currently insisting that I admitted that the item was in 'working' condition when they clearly admitted it was faulty after I ran the diagnostic, they are saying there is no such thing as 'semi-working' condition. They also had the gall to suggest that the transaction was now complete, a situation more than two months down the line, where I paid money promptly and in good faith and have nothing to show for it.
The trader has refused to refund my original postage costs though they are now trying to haggle with me by saying that they will 'make an exception' and refund the postage costs if I mutually agree to remove the negative feedback I gave them. They tried this when they were about to send out my replacement goods, all spin and manipulation. They are also saying that they gave a partial refund because the item is in semi-working condition.
I can't stress how much you should never consider trading with this trader. If they were remotely honest they would have just refunded all of the money long ago or shipped a replacement.
The bottom line is that they are quite happy to take your money, then send out untested goods and then argue and argue and try to blame you the paying customer ever after that.
Please don't EVER deal with these thieves.
