We just wanted to share our knowledge about bad diaper rash and effective gentle Natural treatments we have found that actually work.....FAST!
It is so tough when your little one gets a diaper rash of any kind...especially a red raw rash on his or her bum that no matter what you try seems to keep getting worse and worse.
I dont know about you but my family always used corn starch or some such other remedy that I really do not have the time to try at this point with a crying baby.
Powders dont really help and are not all that safe if inhaled so we always avoided powder and settled for nice creams and such that are easy to remove at nappy changes or diaper changes.
We always when our boy's had a rash and even most times when they did not put their bums under running water or in the bath tub.
Mustela makes a nice Milk Bath that helps soothe the skin without rubbing especially when the bum is sore, raw and rash is present. African Black Soap is also a wonder for bathing and washing any type of skin problem with. You can find it on ebay as well for inexpensive price too.
Baby's can get rashes for many different reasons...sometimes from their formula or a new food that you have just introduced or even antibiotics and other medicine can cause rash.
Keep the skin clean....even when they just pee. Always and I mean you have to be diligent about this ALWAYS clean the skin......California Baby Makes a nice spray for diaper rash that we use for diaper changes specifically when we are out and about and a sink is not around or you dont want to put your baby in a store's sink anyway.
Just spray real good on front and bum and gently wipe away the mess even when there is a rash.
Let dry or keep some cloth diapers handy and gently PAT PAT PAT the area dry.
Keep some of those cloth diapers handy too and especially the ones that are fleece lined inside and if your baby has a rash keep him or her home in a cloth diaper like this and use them for a few days til the rash is gone. We have done this many times and been pleased with the results just as well as using our expensive Japanese Rash Care diapers we get from Japan.
Unfortunately for us we have VERY Sensitive skin children and they were not able to wear the brand name or any cheapy diaper. We found a RASH CARE diaper made in Japan that actually kills the yeast bacteria without having to put any cream or ointment on baby bums. These are called Nepia Doremi diapers and they also come in Pull ups for toddlers and older bedwetting children in BIG sizes. Sometimes we offer them on ebay for sale but only every now and again as they are pricey. But to have our children without the dreaded nappy rash is a blessing for us. Especially since we have 1 son who you can practically just look at him and he will get a rash someplace on his body. He is that super sensitive!
We use Shea Terra Organics Really Raw Shea Butter as well EVERY single day for nappy rash...diaper rash. and all over their body's as a lotion. It does not smell divine at all but it is wonderful and medicinal for the skin. It repairs and replenishes and treats rashes of all kinds.....from dandruff, Eczema, sunburn, yeast rash, and any other rashes. It is good for your skin and penetrates not just sitting on the top of the skin. Great for Bonding with baby time as a gentle massage after bath and at bedtime. We use it all the time especially after our morning bath and again at bedtime as a routine after bath massage.
There is a seller on ebay who sells it relatively inexpensively too since the website sells it for $12 a tub.....and you have to wait for a while to receive it from the Shea Terra Company as they are way too busy processing tons of orders.,.....this ebay seller has all different ones and especially this Really Raw West African Shea Terra Organics Shea Butter in stock ready to ship. Her name is Complete_care or something like that. The West African Really Raw Shea Butter is known for it's medicinal healing abilities and preferred to other types for this specific purpose. As I said earlier, It does not smell divine but it eventually diminishes after it is applied and we love it so much because it only takes a tiny amount to cover the whole body and a little goes a long long way! We even use it in our hair to keep it moisturised, put some on the feet and wear socks to bed at night and awaken in the morning to soft smooth luxurious feeling spa feet every time! It is that healing!
These are just some of the things we have done for our children when they have ever had a rash mostly from Antibiotics or food related....and this always works. We are never disappointed with the results of the Shea Terra Organics Really Raw Shea Butter from West Africa.
You also might like to use Manuka Honey from New Zealand as it is a Medicinal Honey and when put on any type of ouchy on the skin whether it be a burn, rash or cut it heals it in no time flat. and again just a tiny amount will work when nothing else does. All honey has Medicinal properties but Manuka Honey is special and provides something that no other honey has that helps with most internal problems and all rash, yeast or otherwise to ulcers, sore throats and so on. It is nature's Antibiotic and we use it regularly when Flu and cold season is here.
Also if your baby has the yeasty rash all red and raw you can use the Japanese diapers as they take care of all the rashes even the Trichomoniasis or Bad Bad Yeasty rashes naturally with Herbs and Eucalyptus that you cannot see in the diaper but you know it is in there because your baby does not have the nasty yeast raw red bum anymore.
Just wanted to share some tips for those who look for a more natural approach to the dilemma of Yeast rashes in the diaper area for their baby.
We know how hard it is nowadays to deal with that and not have to be worried about running to the Doctor and then the pharmacy to fill the prescription when these above mentioned items/ remedies really work and work fast!
