It seems to me that there are a lot more scams involving farm equipment, usually tractors and back hoes. The price of the equipment is always unbelievably low - $4000.00 to $5000.00 dollars for a new tractor with front loader. The thing that all of us should do is to first of all tell the seller that you want to see the tractor before you submit a bid and where it is located. I'll tell you now that it will probably located in Miami, FL. But they'll promise free shipping. And usually the seller is somewhere else and can't get down there, or is moving overseas. What a crock!!! The shipping alone (and he never rates the shipping as to where it will be shipped) would be unbelievable. Imagine shipping a tractor from MIami to Portland, OR???? Then there is the payment arrangement. He wants you sent him a western union payment. Or he has a complicated method thru Ebay. Always ask the first question of where the item is located and when could you see it. That will tell you the truth about these scams. I always email them a very rude and nasty note after I see the scam, accusing them of being every kind of low life slime that I can think of and telling them that I wish that there was some way of prosecuting them. Always remember, "If the deal sounds too good to be true, it usual is."
