Alright. Let's get to the meat of this.

Fake / Counterfeit / Hacked Pokemon games. No questions asked.

GB:
Pokemon Chaos Black (Hacked Version of FireRed)
Pokemon / Pocket Monsters GO GO GO! (Hacked Version of a smurfs game)
Pokemon adventure (Hacked Version of a sonic-like game)
Pokemon Diamond (Hacked version of Keitai Denjuu Telefang)
Pokemon Pearl (Hacked version of Keitai Denjuu Telefang) (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE REAL NINTENDO DS VERSION)
Pokemon Jade (Hacked version of Keitai Denjuu Telefang)
Pokemon Quartz (Hacked Version of Ruby)
Pocket Monsters Blue Diamond
English Pocket Monsters Green Version
English Pocket Monsters TCG 2
Pokemon Frigo Returns
Pokemon Perla
Legiment Pokemon games. There have been SOME fakes made with the same name, but these are actual games.

GB:
Pokemon Red
Pokemon Blue
Pocket Monsters Green (NOT in English)
Pokemon Yellow (Special Pikachu Edition)
Pokemon Pinball
Pokemon Silver
Pokemon Gold
Pokemon Crystal
Pokemon TCG
Pocket Monsters TCG2 (NOT in English)
Pokemon Puzzle Challenge
Pokemon Sapphire
Pokemon Ruby
Pokemon Emerald
Pokemon Pinball Ruby/Sapphire
Pokemon FireRed
Pokemon LeafGreen
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team

DS: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team
Pokemon Dash
Pokemon Diamond
Pokemon Pearl
Pokemon Ranger
Pokemon Trozei!

I chose not to list the GB movies or the other systems.

Hints that it's fake:
ESRB logo isn't in the bottom corner
Nintendo seal of quality is on the front cover not the back
Refusal to show the back of the box
No "Only for GBC" logo on a GBC game
If they claim you can play a GB / GBC game on a Nintendo DS
If the cartridge says "Game Color" insted of game boy color or only "Game"
Multi-game cartriges, for example Pokemon Crystal and Diamond in 1 cartridge
If it's in English and says "Pocket Monsters" on it
If the cartridge is a weird color. (Ex. Green insted of blue)
If the cartridge isnt colored at all
If it's for the wrong system. (Ex. Pokemon Sapphire on GBC) [There is an exeption to this.. Pokemon Yellow is for GB and GBC I believe. I dont think there's any others]
Pokemon for original Nintendo / Famicom
If the box doesn't say "Gotta Catch 'Em All" and it's in English
If they say it's brand new but the box is flattened

All info theoretically correct as of 12/13/06
