There are numerous seller, usually from China selling what they claim to be real Fender or Gibson guitars (with very bad English too). There is a saying, that if it's too good to be true, then it probably is. Many of them list the buy it now price at 1 dollars, then charge like 3-400 dollars for shipping (it costs about 80 dollars MAX to ship a guitar by USPS and about 100 dollars by UPS express, and if they are indeed a dealer they can ship for much less than that). I have never actually tried any of those guitars, nor do I even intend to. I won't say that anything produced in China is pure crap however, since there are some product produced in China that are of good quality (usually by companies that are committed to quality), however these guitars has been reported to be so bad that it can't even be used as a junk guitar. Now if you see a gibson and they offer a buy it now price for like 2 dollars, its screaming "fake Gibson". Therefore, watch out for those fake chinese gibson or Fenders. That's not to say that no one in China will sell a real Fender as well, but if that happens it will be at the real price and the seller will most likely be able to answer some questions, and shipping wont be 400 dollars either.
