Refereance the fake Shure beta 58 Microphones. I have encountered 2 on ebay so far and 2 on Amazon. These are cheap Japanese copies. I also read a review similar to this one on ebay from someone claiming to be a sound man that advised the fakes were just as good as the genuine ones. This guy must a crappy sound man or maybe just deaf. I have several genuine Shure Beta 58s and sound quality difference between genuine and fake is obvious. You are better of paying ten bucks for a mic from Radio shack. Enquire as to authenticity before you buy. I was lucky and the sellers refunded my money. J.
