eBay Guides - Fake Samsung WEP200 headset from seller colordrives

Beware of cheap fake Samsung WEP200 Bluetooth headsets in $25-30 range!

Any such headset is almost guaranteed to be a fake that just looks like the original. Electronics inside is completely different and performance is vastly inferior. For example, real WEP200 uses a surface-mount antenna. Fake one uses just a piece of conductive trace on the circuit-board! Sound quality is horiible - full of static, voice comes out on the other end of the conversation as if you talked through a pillow.

I sent the product back to the seller with the filled out form from their website as they requested. By that time, I had no high hopes though.

Update 1 year later (November 2007): I have NOT received my money back. The end. See some pictures below.

This product is not OEM, this product is counterfeit and fake. OEM would be a product identical to advertised product but produced in wholesale packaging. The product you sent me is materially different from the product you advertised in the auction - different materials, different design, different electrical components, totally inferior performance. You knowingly sent me an item totally different from what you advertised. I respectfully ask you to pay for the shipping of this product back to you and a full refund of the money I paid, including shipping. Otherwise, I will take up the matter further with Paypal. Hello, the item you sent me is not new as described: it has no box and appears used. Also, the item is not at all a Samsung-brand WEP200 headset but a counterfeit fake. Item you sent me has a printed Samsung branding covered by a rainbow sticker with an Asian character on it. Comparison with a genuine Samsung-branded item reveals those and other differences. Sound quality of the item you sent me is much worse than that of a genuine Samsung WEP200 item. I respectfully suggest you remedy this situation and promptly send me a genuine item. Otherwise I will take up the matter further with Ebay and possibly law enforcement. Waiting for your prompt reply. Thanks!
