If you plan on buying a pair of Nike shoes (Shox, Jordan, AF1, Air Max, 360 ) , you may want to do some research first.

Most the Nike shoes on Ebay now are fakes/variants/counterfeit/illegal. They look almost identical physically, but performance wise, fakes will feel like crap on your feet, and the materials will fall apart very fast.  These companies spend $$ to make the items look identical, but they didn't invest the $$ in the technology to make them perform like real ones.  Usually the sizing on these is crazy too, as they use one molding for a few sizes to save costs, so you may buy a size 10 and get a shoe that fits like a size 8.

Just because a seller has tons of feedback, doesn't mean they are legit. It just means they've fooled alot of people into thinking they got real shoes, since 99% of people get the shoes and leave feedback before they test the shoes out, then they can't do anything after that.

Most sellers selling these are located in China, where REAL nike's are made, as  China has more to worry about than counterfeit shoes, and counterfeit items actually benefit the economy there, so China turns it's cheek the other way (China is where most other counterfeit items are made, purses, jackets, sunglasses).  Most counterfeit items are made in China, shoes, electronics, etc. But many are listed in the US, Canada, etc. as well, as they have friends/family in Asia who will ship the items from there or they work directly with companies there who ship the shoes directly to you.  They usually will say "these are authentic" and offer a money back guarantee, but it's a lie. They say they are located in US or Canada, but will ship from Asia, and want $50 shipping or something ridiculous, and many times will say they don't come with a box, so they can avoid customs detecting them in a shoe shaped box, as customs has started to crack down when seeing these items come thru from those countries.

Do research, if the same shoe is going for $200 on Ebay most other times you see them and you find it for $50, then that should raise a red flag . If it's a popular shoe you can't find anywhere else, then you should wonder why it's so cheap and nobody else is bidding.

Many people who sell fakes, use the same picture for every auction, and don't show the box with the size listed on the label, they don't take the time to take a picture of their actual item, they simply steal a picture from an authentic pair or use their basic picture for every size they sell, and when you get the shoes, you end with fakes.  Ask the seller to take a picture of the shoe, with a piece of paper next to it, with their Ebay User ID, and the date, if they don't want to do it, you can assume they are selling fakes as they either dont' have the item (as it'll ship from overseas), or they know you suspect them of selling fakes. Some legit sellers use the same pic for various items as they sell hundreds/thousands of shoes a month, but usually they are willing to do it for you to get the sale, or will offer some type of reasonable explanation whey they can't.

MANY SHOX, AIR MAX, DUNKS AIR FORCE'S ARE FAKES TOO, including Air Max 95, Air Max 97, Air Max 360, Air Max Plus, Dunk SB's , Air Force One Low's, Shox (almost all the models have fake replicas out there).  95% of the Jordans on Ebay are fake as well.

AIR MAX PLUS, JORDAN, SHOX, AIR MAX 95, AIR FORCE ONE, DUNK SB ARE SOME OF THE MOST COMMON FAKES. REMEMBER, THESE ARE ILLEGAL, IF US CUSTOMS SEARCHES YOUR PACKAGE, THEY WILL DESTROY THEM AND YOU DON'T GET THE SHOES OR YOUR $$ BACK.

If you believe your shoes are fake, report to Ebay, and file a complaint thru Paypal if you paid with them, or your credit card company, as many times, they can help recover your funds.

It stinks Ebay has come to this, that the majority of shoes are fakes. I hate to discourage people from buying shoes on Ebay, as there are many legit sellers on here, who sell in bulk (they own a store, and sell the shoes on Ebay as well as their store, etc or they get old stock inventory from stores who want to sell out their old stock before buying new models), but you just need to take some time and make sure the seller is legit before spending your $$.

Unfortunately, I don't get a chance to get online much anymore, so I can't check the items for you, but you can Check out this shoe forum, with tons of info on shoes, including tons of tips on telling if shoes are fake. Ebay won't let me put the direct link but it's www . issforums . com without the spaces , or just type in INSTYLESHOES on Google, and it'll bring up the website with the forum.
