I just got took. I mean I thought I was a pro. I've bought hundreds of things on eBay, and I'm extremely careful.
So Nike Air Max 360s 69.99? Great eBay deal. Nevermind the fact that It just isn't feasible. The really really sad part about this, is I left good feedback, becasue at first glance, they look EXACTLY like the REAL DEAL. I wore them once and put them on my shoe rack. I did notice that they weren't as comftable as my other 360s. (I have four real pairs) Then I noticed that they started gathering lint on them pretty bad. None of my others did that. So I started examingin them closely. The cutting on the 3M reflective material was a little shoddy at close inspection. After pulling out the insole and discovering that the stichin was different, I started to worry. The insole itself was thinner, and the printing had a faded look to it. The inside of the air chambers doesn't have the same quality either, but's it's very hard to pick up on. The top of the tongue is overlapped on the fake as opposed to being centered at the top of the tongue on the real deal. To know for sure, the Swoosh imprinted into the underside of the removerable insole is crooked on the fake and there's a number on it on the real and not on the fake. Also the underside of the removeable insole had a recessed box with the size of the shoe on the real. The fake doesn't. And there are the laces. The laces on the fakes are wrinkly and too long, not quality laces at all. Real Air Maax 360s have wrinkle-free laces.
Note: These fakes don't have the infamous solotted tag, so the fakes are getting better, every day. Mostly the insole on the real is firm, the one on the fake is flimsy, with the red parts being cut unevenly. And yes I examinied all four pairs of my real 360s and all share none of the characteristics I've pointed out on the fake shoes.
I'm fairly upset over this, and I wrote this review directly after requesting a refund. So it remains to be seen what can be done. Also one more thing, After removing the insole, you can feel the bottom of the inside sole. If it has deep grooves it's fake, the real 360s are much shallower.
So if you've bought a pair of 360s on eBay I would take a closer look at them! Also a hole has opened up on them and I wore them once! I would recommend buying them in a shoe store at the mall.
Needless to say, after examining the picture on the auction again, it's not even the same show as the one pictured, so you might see the real deal in the auction photos, and still get the JUNK. BUYER BEWARE ON THIS@!
UPDATE: I recevived a full refund after opening a dispute through PAYPAL! I threatened too contact NIKE, INC. and my Attorney General.
