The report is absolutely true. All genuine Mosrites have *Mosrite of California* (see Willie Moseley's Books.
There are fake decals being sold, so watch all. According to Semie Mosley's wife before he died, the original 60's were silk screened and not decals.
Look also at the headstock. Most Japanese copies from the 60's have sloppy *M's* cut into the headstock. They are usually not as neat and fatter.
