"Fake" guitars are guitars that are started with a very low bid, but for some reason aren't the real thing. They almost always are Gibson guitars, as the Gibsons and Fender guitars are the most easily recognized and copied guitars. Ways to spot this:
-Gibsons shown in gig-bags(cloth cases) are not gibsons. Most gibsons have hardcases.
-BIGGEST PROBLEM-Seller starts low bid, and doesn't add shipping price. Looking in the description shows that the shipping price will be (usually) listed in GBP, making it much more expensive, and sometimes the shipping price varies from 150-400 GBP, or from 300-700$.
-Advertisment guitars-A different thing than fake. They will post a picture of a guitar and add it for 0.01$, then say in the description "This is just an ad. Please don't bid, and buy it from our website.
-Vintage Guitars-A lot of times, you'll get a broken/non functional guitar if you buy them. The best thing to do is to buy from a dealer-The current best is Ed Roman guitars-they have a lot of vintage guitars.
