Yes they are on ebay !!! Yes they are not the real thing !!! Yes the electronics are the very low quality !!! ---- But I have 4 of them, in different colors and they look great !!! They are much lighter in weight than the real les pauls --- however some of the new gibsons are very light weight. The main problem with these guitars, besides the copyright problem with gibson is that when people sell them, or try to sell them on ebay they LIE !!! about them.

Gibson lovers are not going to say the 1st thing good about them, in fact most of the people who are knocking them have NEVER had one of these replica guitars in their hands to check the quality out, it is instant hate. But for the kiss/ace frehley fan it's a great deal. Now like I said I have 4 of them not one is alike in the setup. 1 of them came with pretty good action. I got one with 2 pickups, also tobacco because i liked the color and changed the pickups to the real thing, which the pickups are about $70.00 each from musicians friend.

And let me say eric clapton, ace frehley, whoever, you or me cannot play anything different on a expensive guitar that you cannot play on a cheap guitar. So owning a real gibson ace frehley model will not make you play like ace frehley. It is just easier to fret a better setup guitar. And the guitar itself is just one of the components in the complete chain of tone. Kurt cobain played with cheap equipment but what tone!!!

Another thing about cheap guitars, not knocking them but the Paul Stanley Silvertone's and his new washburn models are $300.00 to $400.00 guitars --- he plays them and they are cheaper in quality than his previous guitars. I think the reason he put them out (of course to make money) but also as an alternative guitar that fans could buy. I think Ace should cash in on this idea and have these cheap versions made by gibson --- for the fans !!!

I wish they (the asian models) would just put his (ace's) signature on the logo instead of gibson because when it comes to the gibson ace model, people are not buying it because of gibson, they are buying it because of ace.

And I say all this with the greatest respect for gibson les pauls, they are my favorite. I sold my real ace frehley model. And long before the asian fakes came out i was able to get a ace frehley made by a gibson dealer.

It has 2 pickups the headstock with ace is inlaid mop and the fretboard of course is the same that came off the stock model --- how did this happen --- i asked a gibson dealer that is a friend --- lets just say in the surrounding 3 states if he could ever get the parts i wanted to make a custom guitar --- and that's how i got it it does not have made in the usa on the back and one of the serial numbers is stamped backwards so it cannot be traced back to cause this dealer a big problem for making the guitar.

What I am trying to say in the end is if you want a gibson buy the real thing it's worth it. If you want one of these ace guitars, it's okay to get one they're pretty cool and lots of fun for the money. But do not pay big money to  ebayers who LIE !!! --- they cost $229.00 + $100.00 for shipping. And they come in several colors

And I SO MUCH AGREE with the other guides that when ebayers say they are not sure --- I'm SURE they are NOT TELLING YOU THE TRUTH !!!

And they arent allowed to be sold on ebay --- just search for them on the web --- report the ones that people put on ebay --- GET them on the net !!! --- DO NOT BE FOOLED AND PAY BIG MONEY !!! Remember $229.00 several colors !!!

If you want to pay alot of money buy a REAL GIBSON --- resale value will always be there !!!
