eBay is starting to disgust me. Meg Whitman, are you listening??!!
I've reported countless counterfeits, some of them multiple times. They're incredibly obvious to anyone who has a brain. What did eBay do? As far as I can tell, absolutely nothing.
Here are some pics of counterfeit junk from Chinese sellers:
Seller id old-antqiues-shop888 had parkas:
Seller id shuguan858 had a bunch of women's jackets::

Every fall a flood of fake Canada Goose parkas appear. Here are some ways to spot 'em:
1. If someone in China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or anywhere else in Southeast Asia claims to be selling new CG parkas, forget it. They're made in Canada. Occasionally the crooks try selling them from places in western Canada and in the U.S. Some of those listings, though, are for genuine products, so you've gotta use your common sense.
2. If the pictures are borrowed from the CG website, be dubious. You want pictures of the actual item being sold. Take a peek at the CG website to see what their products really look like. It's canada-goose dot com.
3. If the product looks really thin and flat, it doesn't have much insulation of any kind.
4. If the fur trim looks black/brownish/short/lumpy/skimpy, it's not a CG coyote-trimmed parka, but a knock-off with dog fur. If it's fluffy brilliant white, it's a fake.
5. If all their feedback is for selling things that are completely unrelated to parkas, and now they've got a bunch of brand-new parkas for sale, that should raise your eyebrows. If they have no feedback history, that's another warning.
6. If they're willing to sell a 300-500 dollar parka for 129 dollars...duh, of course it's fake. The CG website tells you who their authorized dealers are. If you hunt around on the Internet you can find the websites of the authorized CG dealers that will give you an idea of what the real thing sells for. Anything way under those prices is suspicious. If it sounds too good to be true...
If you buy a fake CG parka, just remember it won't look good, probably has fur from somebody's dead pet or some pathetic stray dog, supports crooks, and hurts honest people trying to earn a living. Plus, it won't keep you warm, either.
