Your so vain I bet you think this article is not about you. Well hold on to your compact travel mirror, because it is! You are never too young or too old to be vain. Contrary to popular belief vanity is not a bad thing. According to ‘Webster’s’ vanity is simply “inflated pride in oneself or one’s appearance” - now that’s not so horrible is it? It might even inflate (with good reason) a little more if you strictly adhere to some very simple ‘Vanity Rules’.
    Always wear sunscreen. I cannot stress this enough. As a Vanity Diva I am not as concerned with skin cancer prevention (although it is a nice side effect of wearing sunscreen…) as I am with preventing wrinkles, sunspots, discoloration and the like. Face it you can have a stylish sexy hair cut, a great body and wear the top designer labels, but if you don’t take care of your skin what’s the point?  Your face is your calling card, love it, respect it, treat it right and you too can be a Vanity Diva.
    Sunscreen is the single most important anti aging beauty product you can own. Treat it as such. Would you use cheap drugstore lotion on your face? I think not. Always buy your sunscreen from a manufacturer that actually makes products for the delicate facial skin and uses high grade ingredients. Never use less than a SPF of 35-the higher the better-and use it every day, regardless of the weather. While your at it go out and buy the largest sexiest sunglasses you can find, this will protect the sensitive eye area and help prevent wrinkles caused by squinting from the Sun’s glare, not to mention giving you an instant über Vanity Diva ‘look‘. You will thank me in five years when all of your contemporary’s are contemplating botox injections and peels, and you just nod sagely at them with your face aglow in even skin tones and youthful elasticity.
    While were on the topic of youthful skin there are a few more areas to keep in mind. You don’t want to only look good from the chin up, so take care from the chin down as well. Always  use the same quality products that you use on your face on your neck, chest and hands as well. Why you might ask? Well look around, how many women do you see who have (argh) wrinkly sun damage all the way to their décolletage and on the back of their hands while spending all of their hard earned money to improve their face. Tons. You my precious Vanity Diva can prevent this from happening by sun screening (remember always use an SPF of at least 35) all those other neglected parts.
    Simple right? Your ready to go. But wait how do you know which products are the best and will work for your skin? Easy there are hundreds of samples to be had for those willing to do the time, and aren’t you worth the effort? Yes my fair Vanity Diva you are. No go forth and stock up!  First go to your local high end cosmetic counters, ask for samples. Get as many as you can, you will not know what works best for you until you try a different array of products (Note this holds true for ALL skin care lines and cosmetics). Second boot up your PC (or MAC if you will) and go online. Search for free samples, skin care and the like. Again aim to get as many different products and as much information as you can. Now sort through your booty and make a game plan. Stick to one product line at a time, make notes on how your skin reacts, what you like/don’t about the product and make sure to give each line a couple of days to get a real idea of how your skin reacts.
    Once you have done all of your research and testing , you are now ready to go forth and commit to buy. You are a powerful Vanity Diva you know what you want and how it works for you. You are not afraid of the cost because whatever it is it is much less expensive (not to mention painful) than getting a chemical peel or laser treatments. You are the Queen of Vanity Divas, follow the rules and you will look the part.
