Ok, I am just going to vent a little here. I always look at reviews posted my eBay members before I buy ANYTHING on eBay. I don't want to waste my money if the general consensus on the item is poor based on reviews written by other eBay members.
However, I am ALWAYS stumbling across reviews written by eBay members who write about their BUYING experience with the item, and NOT HOW THEY ACTUALLY LIKED THE ITEM. It's as if they do not understand the difference between FEEDBACK and REVIEWS. Understand the difference and use them ACCORDINGLY!
Listen up folks.... eBay Reviews are meant to let other people know about the item!!! That is what a review is. You tell others whether or not you liked the item and why. It gives other people a chance to make a better informed buying decision to hear what others think of the product.
I do not find it informative to try to find a review on a product and read that the person experienced slow shipping..... that has nothing to do with me or you and IS NOT A REVIEW!!!! Talk about the product itself... not about your buying experience. PLEASE! If you need to talk about slow shipping use FEEDBACK to do that with, NOT eBay REVIEWS! There is a difference.... and you need to use each feature correctly and accordingly.
For example, if you want to complain or rave about a buying experience you had with a certain seller then use FEEDBACK for that information. That's what it's for! Do not use eBay reviews..... unless you are actually reviewing the product!
Thank you!
(and please don't think I am voicing my frustrations lightly.... I am just so tired of trying to read reviews and seeing people talking about their buying experience. It's drives me crazy and tells me nothing at all about their level of satisfaction with the product. Look around and you will see how right I am and possible you will understand my frustrations as well.)
