FREE SHIPPING.  Yeah!  Who doesn't love free shipping?  The auction page shows free shipping.  The shipping/handling details show Shipping = Free / Insurance = None.  You can even click on the shipping/handling link...wow, all FREE!!!!

Then, during checkout, something goes wrong.  Suddenly, appearing out of nowhere, is a REQUIRED INSURANCE charge.  Funny, you didn't see it on the auction page.  You back and try and read all that fine print, the fine print that is mixed in with flashy advertising and huge graphics splashed all over the page (they try very hard to hide the fine print!).  Oh, there is...in very small print.  Insurance is required.  Then why is this listed as free shipping?  Insurance IS part of shipping, isn't it?

Sellers even get discounts for offering free shipping.  So it is absolutely outrageous that these sellers can advertise FREE SHIPPING with REQUIRED INSURANCE.  Yet somehow they get away with it.  An honest seller would not hide this charge.  Under the shipping/handling costs, it should be clear that insurance is required.  Instead, it says Insurance = None or Insurance = Optional.  That is deceptive.  That is a scam.  They advertise free shipping, yet you pay their hidden insurance cost.

Even if you buy something for a penny, you are required to insure it for, say, $1.65.  Who in their right mind would insure something that costs a penny.  SCAM!  And do they really insure every package?  Yeah, right!

Read all their negative and neutral feedback and you'll see how shocked people are to have ended up paying WAY more than FREE.  Then they get their package, and it isn't even insured.  And worse, if you have a problem, you must pay to return it to them before they will deal with you.  READ ALL NEGATIVE FEEDBACK before buying.  That is how you find out who uses deceptive practices.

What can you do?  DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SELLERS!   Free shipping should mean just that.  Sellers should not be taking advantage of the benefits that come with free shipping (selling fee discounts, better search placement) if shipping really isn't free.

PLEASE VOTE THAT THIS WAS HELPFUL SO MORE PEOPLE CAN READ THIS.  It is important that bad sellers be exposed, and that will only happen if you vote now.  Thank you.
