I have seen many Singer sewing machine manuals being sold on EBAY and it still amazes me that many people are unaware that they can obtain these manuals, usually at better prices or FREE, from the Singer Sewing web site. I have been able to find and download free manuals for my vintage Singer sewing machines as well as those for friends and family.
Okay, so I can't add the html web link to the Singer page (according to EBAY policies - "no links outside of EBAY"), but I can certainly TELL you how to find it.
- First of all, go to the Singer web page. (You know, singer.com)
- Now it will ask your location. Click on North America, then click on USA.
- You'll see a heading "Singer Parts & Industrial Product". Click on that heading.
- Now you'll get a page with more options. You'll find "Instruction Manuals" listed here. Find your model number and download the PDF file.
It's as easy as that. I have downloaded my personal home Singer sewing machine manual for free and when I've had trouble finding a model number, an email to Singer has always provided me with the answer and the location of where to find that elusive one.
Okay, so it's just a PDF downloaded file. If you wanted a nice printed copy, you have the option of buying a manual from Singer. Just remember though, if you're looking for a manual for a vintage machine (mine was from 1940) the only way to get one is through the PDF download.
So come on fellow EBAY'ers. We're on here to find a deal, right?? What better deal than getting it for FREE.
Check out the Singer web site. It's chock full of information regarding your machine, and you never know, you just might find that manual for Grandma's old treadle machine from 1920.
