Making Reindeer Food has been a tradition in our family for generations and one I continue to this day with my granddaughter.

I have attached a full color jpeg that you can print out on your printer and attach to sandwich bags after you make your own reindeer food. It includes a poem explaining what reindeer food is and how to sprinkle it on your lawn.

Sprinkle this magical reindeer food
on your lawn at night,
The moon will make it sparkle bright.
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam,
This will guide them to your home.

Mix Oatmeal with food decorating crystals. Feel free to add other ingredients that deer like including popcorn kernels.  

You can use glitter but I prefer the colored food decorating crystals because they are non-toxic to birds and other wildlife.

Package in individual zip lock bags, attach the tags you printed and viola you're done!

I made this last year for my granddaughter's second grade class for their Christmas Party and it was a BIG HIT!
