n December 2006 I found a company that provides Cash Back on all your eBay purchases (and other online retailers) without any fees through a company named BigCrumbs.  I thought it was too good to be true but have slowly started increasing the amount of money I receive back each month and after only 2 months am now up to $20 cash back on my and my referrals purchases.  Maybe not a lot, but it is a nice little discount and continues to grow as I refer more people.  Please read below for more program details and use any of the imbedded links to sign up from my About Me page or go straight to bigcrumbs.com and use my name (LUV2DBL) as your referral.   

BigCrumbs is a FREE (can't stress that enough as I was skeptical before I researched them) program that lets buyers earn money two ways when they shop on eBay and over 125 other online merchants.  I had a few big questions when I first heard of BigCrumbs.

1.  How do you earn cash back?  Easy, make purchases or have people you refer make purchases.  You receive a portion of the sellers total fees (up to 36%) which will be deposited into your Paypal account each month.  This may not be more than a few cents for an individual item or can be well over $10 (imagine the case where a seller has to pay fees on a multi-thousand dollar item listed as a featured item which is quite regular in my category of choice, stamps).  The best part is that you don't even need to make the purchase.  You still receive money (though not as much) if one of your referrals makes the purchase - up to 5 generations of referrals away!!!

2.  Why is it FREE and how does BigCrumbs make any money if they aren't getting it from me?  BigCrumbs makes their money from eBay by directing traffic to eBay's (and all the other on-line merchants that participate) website.  BigCrumbs gets credit for your purchase when you link to eBay through their website.  They have an easy way to do that through a bookmark.  So, I click on my BigCrumbs link in my favorites and it sends me to eBay where I log in normally.  If I then make a purchase, BigCrumbs receives credit for that purchase and receive a fee payment from eBay.  They then pass part of that on to the buyer and other referral generations as an incentive to use their link to eBay.  That is all there is to it.  Once a month a deposit is made to your Paypal account. 

3.  How much money can I make?  I think the sky is the limit.  It all depends on how many people you can get to sign up.  I just started and am slowly gaining more referrals (I currently only have about 10) but have grown my cash back up to over $20 this month.  Not bad for very little effort over the past 2 months and it has the potential to increase as my referrals grow.

1.  Member Status Choices - An additional point to discuss once you have decided to join it what member status you would like as there are two choices :   either a CrumbSaver or a CrumbEarner.  Here is the difference. 

CrumbSaver - you earn a higher percentage return on your own purchases but do not have the potential for referral bonuses past the first generation of referrals.   This option is best for people who buy large amounts on-line and do not intend on referring many people. 

CrumbEarner - you earn a lower percentage return on your own purchases but, in addition to earning referral commissions on their direct referrals, they also earn when the CrumbEarner referrals of their referrals shop, and so on, up to 5 generations away.  This provides an almost mind-boggling potential for generational, and cash rebate, growth if you can manage to make a few referrals.  It is especially beneficial if you referrals also are CrumbEarners and work to generate referrals.

This dramatically multiplies the amount a CrumbEarner can earn. In fact, CrumbEarners can suddenly find themselves earning additional income from the shopping of thousands of members, many of whom they don't even know!  There is a great calculator on the BigCrumbs website that allows you to see the exponential returns possible as your generations grow and the amount of purchases your referrals make grows as well.

2.  No Third Party Sniping - Sniping through an third party sniping web company doesn't work with BigCrumbs.  Unfortunately auction sniping websites can't be used in conjunction with BigCrumbs because the purchases must be made in ebay from a BigCrumbs link and the auction sniping websites don't do this - they just use your logon and password to go straight to eBay. 

Of course, you are still able to bid in the last few seconds of an auction on your computer and receive credit but you can't have a third party do it for you.  If you think this makes it impractical for your use, realize that most people don't use sniper sites and so most of your referrals won't.  Also, you can still use the links to make purchases in dutch auctions or for Buy it Now items or any of the other hundreds of well know merchants.

3.  More Merchants - There is also the potential for cash back from other merchants than eBay as BigCrumbs has agreements with well over 100 large on-line merchants for similar types of rebates.  These merchants are listed on their website and nearly all the partners are well known national brand names.
