HOW TO GET FREE BOXES AND PACKAGING

Ever wondered why there can be such a difference in sellers shipping & handling charges, Even if they are selling the same item.

Part of the reason for different s/h charges is that a lot of sellers do not know how and where they can get free boxes and packaging like peanuts.

There are of course sellers who have a cheap s/h charge because they dont pack the item correctly, And there are sellers who have a high s/h price just to make more money. If a seller charges a much higher price then what it takes then you can report them to Ebay, But please bear in mind that the high price might be due to the fact that the seller has to buy their boxes, And a seller also has a right to charge a reasonable amount for handling.

Now where was I, Oh yes, Free Boxes, For those of us in the USA, The United States Postal Service ( USPS ) and Ebay will give you as many boxes as you can handle, And the shipping is free, They will arrive with your postman. Just pay a visit to Ebays Shipping Center or the Usps website. The one downfall is that you can only get Priority Mail, Global Priority mail and Express mail boxes and envelopes.

So how do you get free boxes which can be used for all other types of mail, The simplist way is too keep boxes that get sent to you, Reuse them if they are not in to bad a shape.

Another way is to pay a visit to your local or not so local stores, Stores will in most cases be happy to give you used boxes, Because this means they dont fill up their dumpsters so often, It saves them and you money.

Furniture stores dont often have small boxes, But they do have lots of packaging like peanuts which they will only throw away If you dont ask for them, They may want to charge you for boxes & peanuts, But If its cheaper then what you would pay in the store you are still saving money.

If you belong to a warehouse club like Sam's They normally have boxes available, But from my experiance most dont have flaps on top to close.

Ask around, You may have to visit a lot of stores, But it can mean saving money on shipping, And if you pass that savings on to the winning bidder you could find your item selling for more.

If you get a daily Newspaper, You can always use that to help secure the item you have sold, Paper does weigh a bit more than peanuts but its cheaper to ship with paper, if the only other alternative is to buy peanuts.

A high s/h price in most cases puts me off and I move onto another item.

Well I hope this guide helps you to save some money, If you feel it has been informative, Please vote "yes" below.
