FIT DESCRIPTION OF 7 FOR ALL MANKIND JEANS

We have often gotten requests from people who are not familiar with 7FAM jeans cut. Many are especially not aware of the different new styles that 7FAM is making. Through the publication of this, we hope to be able to provide some better guides for our customers and also those that are interested in knowing the different styles available from 7FAM.

We will start with the men’s collection followed by the women’s at the second chapter.

MEN'S 7 FOR ALL MANKIND
RELAXED
The Relaxed fit jean has a natural waist and is roomy through the hip and thigh, opening into a bootcut bottom. This 5-pocket jean features either the 7 For All Mankind signature squiggle or the classic “A” on the back pockets and has a button fly.
STANDARD
The Standard has a straight waist band and sits low on the waist. This classic straight leg is slim and parallel from the knee to the leg opening and features a button fly as well as 7 For All Mankind’s signature squiggle back pocket design.
FLYNT
The Flynt is a slim bootcut that sits low on the waist, is slim through the thigh and nips in at the knee before opening to a bootcut bottom. The Flynt features signature zigzag stitching on the back pocket and a zip fly.
BOOT
7 For All Mankind’s classic Bootcut sits low on the waist, is slim through the thigh, then nips in at the knee before widening into a bootcut opening. The Bootcut’s back pockets feature either the 7 For All Mankind signature squiggle or the classic “A” pocket and zip fly.
SLOUCHY
The waist of the Slouchy is a bit looser and is meant to be worn lower on the hips. It is a relaxed straight-leg that is roomy through the hip and thigh then finishes with a straight leg opening. The Slouchy is a 5-pocket jean that features a corded 7 For All Mankind signature squiggle back pocket design and is a button fly.

COOPER
The Cooper has a long rise and is meant to be worn low on the hips. The thigh is roomy and tapers down thru the leg into a very narrow opening at the bottom. Special detailing includes 8th inch stitching throughout the jean, triple needle stitching on the back rise and back yolk, baby studs vs. the standard rivet as well as a button fly.
SLIMMY
The Slimmy is a slim straight leg that sits low on the waist, is slim through the hip and thigh and remains parallel from the knee to the bottom straight leg open¬ing. The Slimmy features pick-stitched back pocket detailing and a zip fly. This is 7 For All Mankind’s skinniest fit in the men’s collection.
ROCKER
The Rocker is skinny from the hips to the tapered leg opening and is meant to fit snugly on the body. This fit features a zip fly and flap back pockets.
DYLAN
The Dylan is a trouser jean with a long rise that sits straight across at the waist and fits parallel from the hips down to the straight bottom opening. The Dylan features 4 pockets – with no coin pocket. Back pockets are low, clean and square with two front scoop pockets. Zip fly.
FLOYD
The Floyd is a slimmed down straight leg and fits parallel from the knee all the way down to the bottom opening. Special detailing includes double bar tacks and no rivets on the back pockets and coin pocket. The Floyd features a button fly and tonal Hefner back pocket design. 
 

WOMEN 7 FOR ALL MANKIND

In addition to the usual bootcut, straight and your A Pockets, 7FAM has come up with some new cuts for ladies. While there have been some addition for the high waisted wide legs, in the fall we are seeing more of bootcuts and toned down legs. Here is the list of available cuts from 7FAM.

SUPER FLARE
Super Flare is the widest 5-pocket fit in the 7 For All Mankind collection. It sits low on the waist and is fitted through the hips and thighs. The Super Flare widens at the knee, and continues to widen until it finishes off with the ultimate flared leg opening. The Super Flare features an updated embroidered version of 7 For All Mankind’s signature squiggle back pocket detailing.
BOOT
7 For All Mankind’s classic Bootcut sits low on the waist, is slim through thigh and widens at the knee to a bootcut opening. This is their most popular style.
HIGH WAIST BOOT
The High-Waist Bootcut has a significantly higher rise than its Bootcut counterpart. Both the classic and High-Waist Bootcut’s back pockets feature the 7 For All Mankind signature squiggle.
A POCKET
The A-Pocket jean sits low on the hips and features a uniquely contoured waistband. It fits snugly through the hips and thighs and opens up at the knee to create a wide leg opening. This jean features classic A-Pocket design stitching.
GINGER
The Ginger is the widest trouser fit that 7 For All Mankind offers. It sits on the hips and skims the thigh before loosening to create an ultra wide leg opening. The Ginger features 7 For All Mankind’s signature squiggle back pocket detailing.
DOJO
The Dojo is a five-pocket trouser fit jean that features a pitched waist so that it sits low on the hips but has a slightly higher rise in the back. Fitting straight throughout the hips and thighs, the Dojo becomes increasingly wider just above the knee, finishing up with a full wide leg opening. It features the classic Dojo detailing of stitched ‘7’s’ on both back pockets or for this season the lattice pocket.
LUCY
The Lucy is 7 For All Mankind’s skinniest jean. It sits on the hips with a contoured waistband and tapers down to a very narrow leg opening. The Lucy is an ankle length jean and features a clean pocket.
SOPHIE
The Sophie is the new high-waist full length skinny jean. The rise is significantly higher than 7 For All Mankind’s traditional jean with a straight waistband that tapers from the hips to a narrow bottom opening. The Sophie features new embroidered detailing low on the back pockets.

STRAIGHT
The Straight Leg fits parallel from the knee all the way down to the bottom opening. Special detailing includes a variety of different back pocket stitching which includes either 7 For All Mankind’s classic signature squiggle or the tonal, v-shaped Kate design.
ROXANNE/ROXY
The Roxanne is a slimmed down skinny jean. It sits straight across the hips and tapers down to a narrow leg opening. This jean is cut to fit close to the body from top to bottom. The Roxanne is slightly longer than ankle length which is perfect for scrunching and features the classic 7 For All Mankind signature squiggle.
EDIE
The Edie is a slimmed down straight leg jean. It sits straight across the waist and has a slightly lower rise. The Edie fits straight from the knee all the way down to the bottom opening. It features new embroidered detailing low on the back pockets.
FLYNT
The Flynt features a unique contoured waistband which hugs the waist and helps to prevent gaping. It sits low on the waist, is slim through the thigh and widens at the knee to a bootcut opening. The Flynt features signature zigzag stitching on the back pockets.

The above in a nutshell covers the current 7FAM offerings. Almost every pair of 7FAM jeans we run across are true to size with the notable exception being skinnier jeans which have tighter hips, knee and thigh area.
