Are you frustrated by searching for vera (SCARVES), & getting thousands of other items?  I will tell you how to find what you are looking for. Just type in VERA Scarf , instead of VERA, in a general search. It works every time. Or go to clothing, vintage accessories for women, scarves & wraps.

     I know about this, since I used VERA items back in the 1960s and collected them recently. When I first started searching on ebay 10 years ago, everyone searched for VERA, and got back too many results. Thats because there were fewer categoires, for vintage clothing or linens. Now, we know how to sort it out, when searching. Ebay has really changed and grown in 10 years, and it is so much easier to find VERA items in the category you want. 

     Vera Neumann was the originator of the graphic OP ART scarf, and other kitchen textiles. She started in the early1960's, and her products expanded through the years into the 1990's. The VERA logo was her own signature and changed in size, over the years. During the middle years, the logo included a ladybug. The last few years of production had the Vera ladybug removed, and the logo signature became smaller again. It does not need a LADYBUG, to be genuine VERA.

VERA (C) can be found on clothing tags, or at the bottom corner of a scarf, or even in the design of the scarf. It also shows up on the back of pottery, too. Her designs can be huge flowers, or small designs that are retro & mod. You can learn to spot one of her items, anywhere!

     Vera Neuman vintage items include: scarves, kitchen linens, bath towels, sheets, clothing, and china & pottery. One of her favorite designs was the butterfly. You can find it in many of her wild and colorful graphics, on scarves & dishes. If  you can't find VERA (C), it probably isn't a Vera Neumann item. Many fake copies of her items were sold back then, but did not have her signature logo.

     Other currnent  VERAS are, Vera Bradley, and Vera Wang.  They are contemporary artists & designers. They are not vintage designers from the 60s. Vera Bradley designs purses and linens, with a small even pattern all over her fabrics. Vera Wang designs wedding dresses, clothing, china, and shoes. Both names will show up in a general VERA search on ebay, unless you know the difference.

     So, how do you search on ebay, to find genuine VERA NEUMANN scarves, or other designs? Just type in VERA NEUMANN on the search bar. You will get a smaller search, or use the words, towel or scarf, with VERA.

     Vera Neumann items are great collectibles. I probably had 100 or more items in my collection 10 years ago. Now I am reducing my collection ,and will be selling one or two, now & then. It is hard to part with such great art works by VERA. There is a recent book about VERA vintage textiles, and the author contacted me about taking photos of my colleciton. Some of my items are pictured in it. I guess I am an expert!      I remember how many women had sheets, made by Vera, on their beds in the 1960's. It is such fun to remember the good old days. By having Vera Neumann collectibles around the house, you can go back in time, and have some fun art too!  And, they are great gifts for your MOM OR GRANDMOTHER. This is one of the plates I purchased 10 years ago. There are very few plates like this, because they were all broken, or thrown away. I love this plate and will not sell it!

     A good book for reference is Vera Textiles,  by Jeanette & Katherine Michaelets, published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd, printed in 2006. You can buy it at book stores & online, too. I actually have some of my Vera scarves in the book. There are many color photos of  VERA DESIGNS, with descriptions, and a price guide too.
