How do I know I have the REAL NuBra?
There is only one maker of NuBra, and that is Bragel - a US-based company that is also the patent-holder of the product in several countries including the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. All authentic NuBra silicone products are made in the US. And as far as I know, none of the silicone adhesive bras are made in China where most of the knock-offs come from. (11/30/07 Update: The UBra, a new product from Bragel is made in China. However, it is a specially designed deep plunge padded fabric bra that has NO silicone content.) If you have any doubt as to the authenticity of a NuBra being listed, you can report the listing for investigation through the contact information on the Bragel VeRO page. As an added precaution, Bragel stamps hologram seals on their boxes to indicate that it is an authentic Bragel product. To stay a step ahead of the copycats, Bragel continually updates the hologram seals they use. Some examples of the current ones being used are shown below:
The plastic cradle (NOT the box opening) containing the bra cups are sealed to indicate that the silicone adhesive cups have not been used or tampered with. Therefore, for hygiene reasons, all sales of NuBra are final. Almost all NuBra sellers, including myself, only accept returns if the wrong size or style was sent out from what was ordered.
7/21/09 Update on NuBra fakes: I have noticed that there is a resurgence of fake NuBra silicone adhesive bra listings on eBay right now. Make sure you type "nubra" (include quotes!) when you do a search. Typing nubra alone (without quotes) also includes listings for "nu bra" or a "New Bra"
which other bra sellers do to be included in the search
results without being cited for keyword spamming.
8/29/09 Update on NuBra fakes: Beware of the "FREE NuBra as gift" sellers. These sellers offer sexy dresses or tops on auction or Buy it and throw in a "FREE NuBra" with your purchase. After your purchase, they will or will not let you know that the NuBra will be shipped without the box to "save on shipping". You will then be getting a cheap dress or top AND a low quality silicone adhesive bra that may even slip into your lap halfway through your evening!
11/11/09 Update on NuBra fakes: There is a "Buy Two Get One FREE" seller of (FAKE) NuBras right now on eBay! Take note: (1) The "Feather-Lite" box is partially covered so you do not see that it is NOT a NuBra - it is a "Magic Bra" (?) as mentioned once in the item description! (2) The Super Padded is NOT the same as the Feather-Lite. They LOOK similar but they are 2 different NuBra products! (3) The Super Padded is NOT available in Cup D so this is obviously a fake!
Again... Most NuBra fakes/copies sell for REALLY CHEAP prices but DO NOT use medically tested adhesives and/or use low grade adhesives that DO NOT last for multiple uses! Make sure you are buying from an authorized Bragel retailer before bidding or making a purchase to get a QUALITY PRODUCT.
What is the original NuBra?
The original NuBra is a 100% silicone product that enhances breast size and has the look and feel of natural skin. When properly worn (on CLEAN skin, NO perfumes, powders or lotions!), the NuBra looks and feels like part of your body. The only downside (no pun intended!) is that it is quite heavy at 6oz (approx 170g) per cup.
What are the other NuBras and how are they different from each other?
The main difference between the original and the other silicone adhesive bras from Bragel is that the others are lightweight. The Seamless, Seamless U, Feather-Lite, Ultra-Lite and Super NuBra cups weigh anywhere from .5 oz to .9 oz (15 to 25g) each, which is about 85-90% lighter than the original NuBra. Moreover, the outer layer of the lightweight NuBras are made of fabric (polyester/PU foam) making the cups look like regular bra cups.
The Super Padded NuBras are the lightweight versions of the original Nubra as they also enhance breast size by a full cup. They are primarily designed for petite ladies and are available in sizes AA, A, B and C.
The Feather-Lite and Ultra-Lite are lightly padded NuBras with NO size enhancement, just coverage.
The Aphrodite and Trinity NuBras are variations of the Feather-lites. The Aphrodites have artistic and fashionable designs that come in the Crystal, Printed Fabric and Lace series. The Trinity series are printed fabric bras which have ties in the middle instead of a clasp.
The NuBra Beach are self-adhesive triangular-shaped push-up enhancer pads that have the look and feel of natural skin. It weighs only 2.5oz (approx 78g) per pad. Available in one size only. The shape makes this an ideal breast enhancer under bikini tops and most swimwear. It also works well under babydoll tops or those maxi dresses that tie at the neck.

NuBra Lite - a 100% silicone NuBra that is 35% lighter than the original NuBra. Available in Nude and cups A/B/C.
On their 20th anniversary (1989-2009), Bragel has released an even better NuBra with The Push-Up Series. The original, NuBra Lite and Seamless are now available with built in push-up pads. The Original Push Up and NuBra Lite Push Up are available in Nude and cups A/B/C. The Seamless Push Up is available in Nude/Mocha and cups A/B/C/D.

How do I know which NuBra is best for me?
It depends on the fit that is most comfortable for you and the enhancement you want. For myself, I love the Seamless U as I'm very active and its light weight/minimum coverage makes it so comfortable to wear under my favorite halter tops. Most of my clients want more enhancement so they order the Supers. And then there are those who like full natural-looking enhancements... and those can be done with the original NuBra and NuBra Lite. Note though that the original and Lite Nubras only come in cups A, B and C. Larger cup sizes will need extenders for the middle clasp.
But whatever your enhancement goal is, you must order your TRUE cup size. The correct cup size ensures proper support and coverage. The amount of cleavage shown can be adjusted by positioning the cups farther apart or in a more vertical position. Your NuBra package will have complete instructions on its use.
How do I use the NuBra?
Finding the right placement on your breasts may take a couple of tries but once you get used to it, putting it on will be a cinch every time. First thing to do is to stand in front of your dresser mirror with the cups in front of you. Make sure you have the left and right cups on the correct sides - if you're not sure which cup goes on the left or right, the ROUNDER part of the cups should go under your breast! Take one cup and lightly place it on one breast. Note: The standard NuBra instruction is to flip the cup outwards with the adhesive area fully exposed, and to slowly place it from the bottom of your breast to the top. The problem with this is that if you find that you have placed one of the cups too high/low, the cup will already be very sticky on your breast and will be harder to adjust! Personally, I find it easier to just place the cups lightly on and then adjust both cups until they are the same level. Then when I am satisfied with their placement, I give the cups a final pat on the breasts so they are securely in place. Now, you can fasten the middle clasp to put the two cups together... and you're ready to go!

Will the NuBra stay on if I sweat?
From my experience, my NuBra has stayed on through a night of continuous dancing - even while profusely sweating! That is because - I always put my NuBra on CLEAN skin (again -- NO perfumes, moisturizer or lotion). But since the body's natural oils can clog the NuBra's adhesive, the NuBra may not adhere with extremely oily skin or in very humid climates. In these very rare cases, I have heard that cleaning the breast area with alcohol BEFORE using the NuBra helps in the adhesion.
How do I clean my NuBra?
NuBras are guaranteed to be re-usable up to 100 times with proper care. That means that even if you use your NuBra 4 to 5 times a week, one pair can last you the whole spring/summer season! The key to extending the life of your NuBra is its cleaning. The NuBra's adhesive area must be cleaned AFTER each use with a mild cleanser. Any mild cleanser (meaning NO lotions, moisturizers, perfume!) will do but I highly recommend the NuBra cleanser ($8 retail) as it was specifically formulated for its care. After carefully removing each cup from your breasts, run warm water over the adhesive area and use just one drop for each cup. Rinse throughly and then hang to dry to regenerate the adhesive.
Tip: I use one of those pant/skirt hangers with two clips. Place each cup in a clip to drip dry overnight. By tomorrow morning, my NuBra is ready to use again!!! ;-)
Is the NuBra waterproof? Can it be used in the water?
Only 100% silicone NuBras are waterproof. These are the original NuBra, NuBra Lite, NuBra Beach and Invisible Breast Enhancers. By waterproof, this means that water will not go through the material and the adhesive area. One has to be careful though that sand and other foreign particles do not get into the adhesive area. I must also say this -- because of the weight of the cups of the original NuBra and the Invisible Breast Enhancers, I do not recommend these for use in the water... (Can you imagine getting out of the pool with the weight of the water dripping from your swimsuit AND the weight of the silicone cups?) Instead, I highly recommend the NuBra Beach. It is lightweight; the triangular shape goes with most bikini and swimsuit styles... and it gives you that "push" for that extra hint of cleavage where you need it most!

Who makes the NuBras carried by Gap, Fashion Forms, Nordstrom Intimates, Victoria's Secret?
Bragel. I asked my account representative about this and she said that Bragel does package NuBras in the department store's own labels for their large accounts. The NuBras in the pink and white Bragel boxes are the ones carried by other smaller retail and on-line shops such as ours. A word of caution though when buying NuBras from department store labels - usually, these items find themselves on eBay through liquidations from older shop stock. Although NuBras have no shelf life, just be aware that these may be customer returns or old/discontinued stock.
Did I receive the right NuBra?
Because of the similarity/inconsistencies in packaging of NuBras, it is sometimes difficult to determine if you have received the correct NuBra. One of the most common questions I receive is - Is this a Feather-Lite or a Super Padded?
Without their box packaging, the Feather-lite and the Super Padded look the same. Both products use the same outer mold so the Super Padded A looks very similar to the Feather-Lite B. The difference is in the thickness of the CENTER PADDING. Since the Super Padded brings the user up a cup size, the plastic cradle is a size up. For example, a Super Padded A will be in a Sz B plastic cradle, but with a white "A" sticker outside. A Feather-lite A will be in a Sz A plastic cradle. To complicate matters, the Super Padded used to be in Feather-lite and Aphrodite boxes with a white "Super" sticker. That is the OLD Super Padded packaging that Bragel discontinued in early 2008. From March 2008, Bragel has been using the new Super Padded box as shown below. (This is another way to know that you are getting NEW stock from an authorized Bragel retailer!)
To make it even more confusing, there are some very rare cases where I have received Super Padded lots from Bragel where the cradles were NOT a size up. So, the BEST way to know which Nubra you have received is to look at the embossed letters on the inside of the cups. The NuBra style/size will be indicated on the inside of the cups.
A Feather-lite Cup A will have an embossed "FA" on the inside of the cups as shown in the picture above. The Super Padded Cup A, however, will have an embossed "SB" or "KB" (original mold) on the inside of the cups since the final cup size is a B. "JS" is for a Seamless U in Small while a "JL" is for a Seamless U in Large. A Seamless U in XL also uses Seamless U cups in Large but includes extenders for wider band sizes.
