FAKE VERSACE CHRONO WATCHES

I am writing this guide with the hopes it will save some of you from getting ripped of with a certain very popular Versace Men's and Ladies Watch. I am talking about the Chrono watch with the 3 dails on the face along with the day date in the lower 4 O'clock position. I have been a victim of being sold a Fake and spent weeks if not a month getting my hard earned money back. Here are things to look for so the same thing doesn't happen to you.

The 12 O'clock Position has the trade mark Medusa Head. The Medusa head should be raised from the surface of the dail. If  is completely flat it is a fake.

The Lug or Pin that is used to set the time should also have the Medusa head raised from the pins surface. Some clever thieves will avoid showing pictures of that part of the watch. If they are avoiding the picture, it's another red flag. Ask the seller to send you a picture of that part of the watch.

The back of the watch is also important. The 1/2 Medusa head and the seriel numbers are etched  (Engraved)  on the back. I know this maybe hard to detect from some pictures. But again if the seller is avoiding these pictures another red flag should pop up. I noticed some will try to give you the impression of a seriel number by covering it up with shading that area of the watch.

Here is another common sense rule with these and other high end watches. Assume most of what you get from China and Japan are fake. As a watch collector I always open the far right side of the listing to see where the watch is being sold from. I don't even bother looking at the ad unless it is somewhere from the U.S. But even watches from here in the U.S. can also be fake. Keep in mind the fakes had to be made somewhere. This is when I really scrutinize the pictures and ask the seller questions.

Just because the ad says 100% Authentic means nothing. Thieves are always coming up with new software to duplicate knock off sales reciepts.

I hope this was some help to some of you and hope this avoids the trouble I went through some months ago.

Good Luck, Jimmy
