read part ONE This is part 2 of fake Holocaust armbands that are being sold on EBay. Please read part ONE and vote on that and this guide as that is the only way people AND Ebay will be made aware that their site is being used by con artists to sell fake Holocaust items. Please read part 1
In addition to the reasons I mentioned in the previous guide on this topic, there is another clue to find out if the seller is selling fake or authentic items.
Check his current listings by going to his auction and click on LIST. Does he have more of the armbands that I show in this guide and in the previous guide? ALSO, is he selling fake SILVER Yads (Torah pointerswhich the seller claims to be from the "19th century"!) and Bessamim holders(Jewish incense holders) which I also have a guide on? If the answer is yes to either of these questions then it's a sure thing that the armbands this seller is selling are 100% fake. In speaking to a Holocaust expert, he told me that most of the items in general on the internet are FAKE and of recent vintage manufacture or were used as props in movies on the Shoa. Which makes sense since many of these armbands look NEW and not worn out at all. So let the buyer beware!
If you have been helped by this guide, please vote. It's greatly appreciated and you will be helping others become aware of fakes being sold on this site and on the internet. Here then are the scans of some fake armbands. See part 3 for more examples.
Also, if you are a serious Holocaust artifact collector, I highly recommend the book
Counterfeiting the Holocaust By Alec Tulkoff which documents (with pictures) the various fake artifacts being sold today as real Shoa material. The author has personally expressed his recommendation for this guide. See my review of his book in my reviews section.
