As a seller of authentic Kabbalah Red String (and I am proud to say that I sell it for a lesser price than anyone else on the internet) I've recently received inquiries from lovers and believers of kabbalah on my opinion of the various red string products being sold on the net, if they are AUTHENTIC of NOT?
Well, in looking over the various red string products such as: evil eye, Hamsa, David's Star, Magen David, Blue Eye... bracelets/necklaces/pendants/charms etc ad infinitum.
The first thing to realize is that ALL of the various trinckets found on or with the red string are MADE IN CHINA! There are NO KABBALISTS IN CHINA as far as I know and gee, I may be wrong on this, but if there are NO KABBALISTS IN CHINA then these mass produced charms are just some nice kitchy pieces of junk you are wearing. PERIOD!
Second, these little pieces of junk do not add one iota of extra energy or kabbalistic Holiness, not just because they are made in China, but also because the red string itself is the source of energy having been prayed at the Tomb of the matriarch Rachel.
Some of these "add ons" are not even of Kabbalistic origin at all but come from pagan or Arab sources, such as the "evil eye" or "Hamsa" items. They have no link to anything in Kabbala and traditionally were never used in conjunction with the wearing of the red string.
If your intention in buying these items is to make a fashion statement, that's fne and dandy, but don't go out and spend a small fortune on these extra's, as you can get them at any cheap fake jewelery story for pennies and make your own bracelet. Some of the items I've seen on the internet being sold look like these items:
If you enjoy wearing it, go right ahead and do so, but don't fool yourself into thinking that you are buying an "authentic Kabbalah" item from these folks, all they are doing is selling you costume jewelery for a very high markup. Stick with the red strings, for a good price and may the red string and the Almighty be your reminder that the Almighty is forever watching over you and giving you the power to be a success in life!
