Hello everyone,
I am writing this to help others and being upset over my recent purchase made with the intent of saving a few dollars. The purchased product was a Motorola H700 purchased from a "Power Seller, " named : dealshore , with a feedback of 99.6% positive. When the package arrived it was not opened until 3 days due to a hectic schedule. On that 3rd day I was so excited to test the new multifunctional H700. I inspected the plastic packaging damage and oped it. Having purchased numerous Motorola products in the past I felt that this H700 was slightly scratched. The micro-scratches were unusual for Motorola. I was so excited and found I had the charge the battery! Damn! Gotta wait a few hours! After the long 2-3 hours the charge light changed to the fully charged color. Yea, time to bond and test! Bonding was not smooth like my Motorola HS850 that I was previously using. My Motorola Q discovered the H700 but was listed as "H700," without the name "Motorola" before the model #. It took numerous attempts to get the the previously mentioned discovery. When finally bonded and the Q could see the H700 but useability was not acceptable. The device would intermittently produce sound when a call was coming in and when the voice-activated features were activated. Sound quality was not of Motorola standards and the connection was scratchy. Below you will find in the listed things to look for to help determine if you H700 is fake, a blasted knock-off!
- The operation of the boom is rough and not smooth.
- The operation of the ear hook is also rough and hard the move.
- The holographic sticker on the boom is marked "HF" with (2) Chinese characters.
- Micro-tiny scratches on the product - Motorola has great Q.C. (Quality Control) which OEM does not have scratches.
- Bonding difficulty.
- Connection difficulty after bonding.
- When bonded, "H700" is listed and not "Motorola H700."
- Colors! Only in two colors from the time of the review 10/23/06
- Most fakes seem to be listed below approx $40.00.
Please visit Motorola's site! It is not worth saving a few dollars to only receive such a bad quality knock-off when a few dollars more could be spent on the "REAL" OEM product.
Please feel free to send me a message if this review was helpful to you. I would like to hear feedback. I hope this helps people before they make their purchase.
Thanks
