L.A.M.B. FAKES ARE ALL OVER EBAY AND THE INTERNET!

Think you are getting a luxurious designer item for a real steal?  There is a reason why the price is so low.....IT IS A FAKE!

In case you haven't read my other designer handbag buying guides, please click on the link by my name that says "Top 100 Reviewer"then choose "see all guides".  This will take you to all of my guides (there are 25) to give you a little more detailed information on counterfeit handbags in general such as what to look for and how to avoid buying a fake.

This guide is just to give you an idea of some of the styles of FAKE L.A.M.B. items that are being made so you can be on the alert if you are considering bidding on one on Ebay. (Again, please see my other guides on things to look for and questions to ask sellers to reduce your chances of getting a fake.)

Of course you can find authentic L.A.M.B. on Ebay for some wonderful deals, I just want people to be aware of how many of them are actually fakes so that you will look into the item before making a purchase.  Look at all the pictures, read the seller's feedback and ask questions about how they aquired the bag.  Remember, good feedback does not mean an item is authentic!  Many people have no idea their item is a fake because they see the label, tag, etc. and have no idea that replicas exist so they leave great feedback because of the incredible BARGAIN they received!  Then, when their item falls apart or someone tells them it is a knock-off, they have already left feedback and can't go back and change it.

Ask the seller is they guarantee authenticity and do not consider a purchase if the seller does not guarantee authenticity.  The reason for this is because an authentic item may be PICTURED but that may not be the item you receive.  So get that guarantee!  Or buy from a seller you know and trust so there is no worries.   Because some seller's will say they "guarantee authenticity" but that guarantee doesn't actually exist.  It is to gain your trust to get your MONEY then when you ask for a refund they will not respond to emails and you will find out their telephone number on file with Ebay is incorrect.  Some sellers even lie about their location...they will state a US loction and actually be in China.  Or they may be in the US but are getting their items shipped from China so it can take weeks to get an item.  READ THE FEEDBACK and see if a lot of people are saying "slow shipping".  This combined with low prices will almost assure you will receive a fake.

I'm no L.A.M.B. expert as far as telling you how to spot the differences on all of the numerous L.A.M.B. that have been made so I'm sorry I'm unable to help you there.  For more details on how to spot the differences I would search the guides for a L.A.M.B. how to spot the differences guide or do a Google search.  You can also visit ThePurseForum and find some helpful people there who are familiar enough with this brand to help you with some details.  But the simple rule is this:  If the price seems too good to be true (especially on a BRAND NEW w/tags bag), then it is probably a fake.

But for starters, I at least want to let you be aware of some of the items that ARE being counterfeited.  And this is only a FEW of the types that are being counterfeited.  There are more.  You can google the style you are interested in and put the word replica with it and see if anything comes up. Even if nothing comes up, that DOES NOT mean it is not being counterfeited!  Or go to Ioffer or Tradekey (two replica sites) and see if the bag you are interested can be found there. If so, you will need to ask plentyof questions for proof of authenticity such as how they acquired the bag (if they say from a supplier, run!  If they say from the manufacturer, ask where their retail store is located and confirm its existence.)

There is a great guide on fake L.A.M.B. on the internet:

http:// www . hugemassif . com/lamb_lovers/fakes

SOME COMMON L.A.M.B. fakes that you will find on Ebay:

Pants, hoodies, tanks, tees, t-shirts, shirts, scarves, jackets, coats, handbags, wallets and other items.

COMMON STYLES:

LAMB is for....pants, Flocked Leopard hoodie, Collegiate pants, Logo, WDMLG (Where did my LAMB go), Heart Crest, Banner, Fleece Gothic, Peacock Feather tank, Pirate Flag tank, Heart Crest tank, Lace Logo strappy tank, Love Definition tank, Collegiate tank, Wool coats, Donegal Wool jacket, Kangaroo Jungle Hoodie, Wool Suspender Mini Skirt, Split Cardigan, Rugby Shirt, WDMLG tank, Made with Love tee, What color is love tee, Pirate Ship tank,  Holiday Logo Banner Hoodie, Mega WDMLG Scarf, Lace Logo Strapy Thank, Spring 06 Rasta Track Jacket, Cropped Turtleneck, Harajuku Lovers (Bannanas Tee, Fatal Attraction to Cuteness Tank, Harajuki Lovers Japanese Logo Tee).

Fake items come with tags, dustbags and everything.  The fakes all come with these things, authenticity cards, whatever normally comes with the item.  Are they the same as the genuine article?  Of course not. And if you look closely at the tags, etc. you will see differences.  They are NEVER exactly the same.

DO NOT buy from a seller who has TONS of L.A.M.B. for sale!  It is impossible to get items in bulk unless they own an AUTHORIZED retail store.  Check the seller's completed listings to see how many items have already sold.  Any seller selling more than a handful of L.A.M.B. items will almost certainly have fakes.

Also, if the item looks authentic in the photos (and you feel certain it is) make sure the photos are not "stock photos" (pictures copied from other websites or sellers).  Some sellers will have pictures of an authentic bag but will send a fake in its place.  Have the seller prove they are photos of the actual bag (by providing a picture of the bag with their seller name in the photo, etc.).  Most sellers who take their own photos take the photos in the same location.  Look at their other photos and see if the background is the same.  I use the same background for 99% of my photos so my buyers can recognize that they are my actual photos.

You can do a google search for "replica clothing" and this will take you to hundreds of sites that sell FAKE designer goods.  You can narrow that search by typing L.A.M.B. replica clothing, shoes, handbags, etc., and you can see the magnitude of this problem.

I'm just trying to help the Ebay community, particularly the buyers, who may not be aware that they are about to bid on a counterfeit, illegal item.  The average person does not want to break the law or own a counterfeit item so I'm trying to help these people.  Also, counterfeits are by no means the same quality as the real thing.  They will fall apart in no time....after its too late to get your hard earned money back.

Please see my other guides for more information on counterfeit items and visit the International Anti-Counterfeit Coalition's webiste for more information.

Quick tidbit:  See the words "Satisfaction Guarantee" in a listing is a big red flag that the designer item may be counterfeit.  They are saying  "I'm offering a money back guarantee on your satisfaction of this replica because you will be deceived into believing you have the real thing...you will get such a wonderful price that you WILL be happy.....and because I say its 100% authentic you will believe me assuming I couldn't possibly say this if it weren't true.....until it falls apart, and people are laughing at you because they know its fake....but by then,  I will be long gone spending your hard-earned money and you will not be able to locate me".

Oh, and fake sellers usually remove the plastic from the handles before listing them on Ebay.  But if you see a bag with plastic covering the handles you can rest assured it is fake without looking any further.

NEW TIDBIT:  Sellers with fakes are now pricing their items much higher in an effort to fool the buyer into believing it is authentic based on price!

KNOW your seller.  Ask plenty of questions.  And remember being a PowerSeller means nothing.  Many PowerSellers sell counterfeit goods 365 days a year.  Nothing against PowerSellers, I'm one myself but that has nothing to do with items being authentic, it only means you sell a lot of stuff (and that stuff can be fake).

Report ANY counterfeit item you receive to Ebay and the International Anti-Counterfeit Coalition.

Don't forget to look at my other guides for much more valuable information on counterfeits!

If you found any of this information helpful, please take a moment to vote "yes" below.  I like to know how many Ebayers (who aren't selling counterfeit goods..those people always vote no...) find this information helpful. Thanks so much!

Hope you found this information helpful!  Thanks for taking the time to read my guide.
