AUGUST 1, 2008 UPDATE:  We can add the CALLIE to the list of fakes!  So far I have seen a GREEN, BLACK and RED fake Callie for sale at the counterfeit sites.  Here is a fake green Callie:

JULY 1, 2008 UPDATE:    The NELLI, RONI, NAOMI & MOLLY are being faked! ELISHA also!  All colors too and even the perforated bags!  You can go to Ioffer and see the fakes being sold for $130-$180 for a BUY IT NOW.   Some sellers even admit they are "mirror image".  Others lie and say they are "Kooba Official Store" bags!

HERE IS A FAKE YELLOW NELLI:

FAKE TIDBIT ON THE YELLOW NELLI:  The fabric around the zippers on the front of the bag will be GRAY on an authentic bag.  On most of the fakes I have seen, it is yellow.  This is a quick indication of a fake. See how the zipper pulls sort of blend in with the rest of the bag?  On a real yellow Nelli, the zippers will have a wide gray strip around them, making them "pop" more.  Also, see how the color is wrong?  Its more of a golden yellow than a BRIGHT yellow like the authentic bag.  The Blue Nelli is he wrong color also on the fakes.

The Elisha fakes are pretty horrible and easy to spot even in photos.  But PLEASE BEWARE of photos....many times these sellers will use stock photos of authentic bags but will send a fake in its place.  So if you are looking at the photo thinking "this looks just like the real thing" then you are probably looking at a photo of a real Kooba but that is not what you will receive.  REPLICAS are NEVER mirror image as they claim, the materials, craftsmanship, etc. will always be lesser quality.  And the colors are usually "off" also just like the Nelli above.

In case you haven't seen my previous guide "BEWARE! FAKE KOOBA HANDBAGS BEING SOLD AS AUTHENTIC" please see that guide for more details on the fakes. This guide is just to try to show more pictures of the fakes because there is a limit to the number of pictures I can post in one guide.

My original guide was written in 2006 so a lot of the info in that guide is on the older styles.  I'm afraid that might be misleading to people (thinking only the older styles are being counterfeited) so in this guide I just want to give an idea of some of the styles that are being counterfeited.  This in no way covers ALL of the styles being copied, it just gives a good idea of some of the bags that are being faked that you may not be aware of.

All of the bags below are FAKE and are being sold on Ebay and at other sites such as IOffer and many others where replica designer handbags are being sold.  Of course there are authentic versions of these bags also but if you are interested in ANY of these styles, ask plenty of questions and know your seller or be prepared to be stuck with a fake!!

THIS IS A FAKE CARLY!!!!  

CARLY & PAMELA are heavily counterfeited in ALL colors!  TONS of fake silver Carlys and Pamelas have been sold on Ebay!!

Dylan: FAKE!!

This bag is INK but most of the other colors are faked also, even caramel & mirror leather! Leather, patent & metallic.

Caramel Natasha:  FAKE!!

Natasha is faked in all colors and both leather & patent.  This is also a standard photo used for fakes, look for the little red hook.

Avery: FAKE!!

Avery comes in several colors...all fake

Annie: FAKE!! 

Yes, the Annie is faked, too!

Charlie:  FAKE!! 

Charlie comes fake in all colors.

This will give you an idea to the extent of the fakes that are being made.  Of course, there are many, many more!  Visit Ioffer, TheBagAddiction, ReplicaGirls, Sunnyreplicas, Ladyreplica, Fashioncentury, Discount-Luxury and of course Tradekey (all followed by . com) to get an idea of all of the fake designer handbags that are being made.  These are only a few of the hundreds of websites you can find on the internet where replicas are sold.  Many will admit they have replicas, many will NOT.  Just know that if the price is too good to be true, its probably a fake!
