ON EBAY "F" IS NOT FOR FENDI BUT FOR FAKE!!! 99% OF THESE BAGS ON EBAY ARE FAKE!!! I have noticed lately there are a lot of fake Fendi spy bags (purses) on Ebay. Buyers are paying a lot of money for these fakes and I would like to let you know what you can do to protect yourself from getting burned with these knock-offs. First powerseller mean nothing..it simply means they have sold $1,000 per month. 100% feedback used to be a good indicator of a reputable seller but today sellers with 100% feedback are selling fakes. They are depending on you the buyer to be stupid and uninformed. Plus most buyers don't know they have purchased a fake. So the most important thing is to be informed. First rule to remember when dealing with sellers who try and pass off fakes as authentic is they lie....A LOT....If the bag is a ridiculously low price..it is a fake..think about it..this bag retails for close to $2,000..so you think an authentic Fendi spy bag is going to be sold to you for between $200.00-$600.00??? Think about the business logic of that. Read the Ebay guides and type in FAKEFENDIHANDBAGS in your search engine before you bid. Also I have seen sellers with fake receipts trying to pass of their fakes as authentic. IF THE BAG HAS A YELLOW AUTHENTICITY CARD..IT IS A FAKE!!!!!!!!!! Be an informed buyer.
Ask the seller about the bag before you bid! Questions such as..do you have the original receipt and will you send it, where did you purchase the bag? However, remember fake receipts are very common on Ebay with designer items. I also just heard of a scam with fake receipts. A seller of fake merchandise will purchase an authentic bag at a reputable store to get the receipt and then will make copies of the receipt to sell the fake merchandise. If a seller will not send you an original receipt..DO NOT BID. REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER EXCUSE THEY USE...DO NOT BID!
ANOTHER SCAM IS FAKE HIGH END STORE TAGS ON THE BAGS SUCH AS NEIMAN MARCUS WITH A BUY IT NOW OF $1,200 AND THE BAG IS 100% FAKE. SERIAL NUMBER IS 8BR5100RQ1F0GJ3. TYPE IT INTO GOOGLE AND FOREIGN SITES COME UP. THE BAG IS MADE IN KOREA. PLUS THE PARASITES SELLING FAKES ARE NOW INTO A "SECURITY TAG" ON THEIR FAKES. THE FAKE SECURITY TAG SAYS, "CANNOT BE RETURNED IF THE SECURITY TAG IS REMOVED." IT IS A FAKE!!!! THINK ABOUT IT. DO YOU THINK IF YOU PURCHASED A AUTHENTIC FENDI FROM SAKS AND TOOK OFF THE TAGS, DECIDED YOU DIDN'T WANT THE BAG THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT A RETURN????
Another scam going on are the sellers who sell the fakes and will tell you they don't have the receipt because it was a "gift"or their ex gave it to them and they are cleaning out their closet. Move on.... If the pictures of the bag are not crystal clear..move on...
THE WORST SCAM RIGHT NOW ON EBAY ARE THE UNETHICAL SELLERS WHO ARE SELLING FAKES BUT LISTING THEIR BAGS FOR OVER $1,000. THEY ARE USING A HIGH PRICE TO FOOL YOU INTO THINKING IT IS AUTHENTIC. IF A SELLER HAS MORE THAN ONE FENDI SPY BAG AVAILABLE AND NO ORIGINAL RECEIPT..HUGE RED FLAG IT IS A FAKE...
Also ask what is your return policy and ask them to send you the serial number stamped on the leather tag inside the bag and the number on the authentication card before you bid. They should be the same. If the seller does not respond or acts like you are nuts for asking legitimate questions...good indication it is a Fake. Just because the seller says it is authentic does not mean that it is! If a seller states in their ad.."don't ask questions about authenticity because we only sell authentic bags.." avoid them. The seller Nepherisis states this in their ads. THEY SELL FAKES! As I said earlier, dishonest people lie...a lot..especially when money is involved. Many of these fakes are made in Korea and China. Some sellers on Ebay buy direct from the suppliers of fake designer merchandise in China. They are available all over the internet and passed off as authentic. TradeKey is the worst. They rip off all the top designer brands and unethical sellers buy them and list them all over Ebay. Remember Murphy's law..If it sounds too good to be true..it probably is.
If the seller is selling fakes..report them. Report the seller by clicking on "Report this Item" listed on the lower right side of the ad. The listing may be removed by Ebay but there is no guarantee. Ebay consistently allows fake bags to be listed and relisted. They do very little to police this site claiming "they are not experts" but only bring buyers and sellers together. This is a crock! Trusting buyers are ripped off every day and Ebay gets the fees from the parasites selling the fake merchandise. Buyers have very little recourse and little protection from Ebay when the buyer discovers their "authentic" merchandise is a fake. You need to be aware of this before you shop on Ebay for designer or brandname items.
Out of all the Fendi's currently listed on Ebay I found 3 that appear to be authentic. If the handles of the bag are wrapped in plastic or if the bag has a YELLOW "Fendi" tag on the handle and authorization card it is a FAKE. Remember most of the fakes will have dust covers and authorization cards. Fendis DO NOT HAVE DUPLICATE SERIAL NUMBERS. Each Fendi bag has it's own serial number. Otherwise what is the purpose of a serial number. Nena-1 is listing a ton of fakes. She is listing bags with the same serial numbers. ABSOLUTE FAKES....So buyer beware!!
If you have purchased a Fendi spy bag and it is not authentic report the seller immediately to Ebay. Also here is a new twist. Some sellers who are selling fakes are saying, "I purchased this in Italy." or "purchased from a boutique in Italy." I have been to Italy many times and there are some people attempting to sell knock-offs. However, Italy has very strict anti-replica laws. No reputable seller in Italy would risk a huge fine and jail time to sell fake designer items. If the fake Fendi bag was purchased in Italy it was purchased from the same vendor who is selling fake Rolexs out of a suitcase to the tourists and running away as soon as the police come. I have seen that happen lots of times. Additionally, the designer bags in Italy are not that much cheaper than they are in the US. You may save a couple hundred dollars. A seller might try and convince you the bag is authentic and it is so cheap because it is slightly defective. This is a scam...Fendi does not sell seconds or wholesale. Occasionally, Fendi bags are on sale..but there are no seconds.
Read the ad very closely. Some sellers are saying, "just like Fendi"( in small print.) Request the ORIGINAL receipt. Look at what else the seller is selling. Lots of cheap stuff and suddenly a $2,000 bag..the bag is fake. Go to the Fendi website and ebay guides with pictures...check the details. Authentic Fendi bags have an serial number imprinted in leather inside the bag and they have the serial number on the authentication card. Ask the seller for the serial number and the authorization number before you bid. They should be the same. If the serial number has the following "F0G" in it IS A FAKE!! FENDI'S DO NOT HAVE DUPLICATE SERIAL NUMBERS ON NUMEROUS BAGS!!!! IF A SELLER IS LISTING BAGS WITH THE SAME SERIAL NUMBERS THEY ARE FAKE!!!! GUARANTEED!
An example of a fake serial number 8BR511 00VRD F0GK6 listed on Ebay as 100% authentic Fendi Spy Bag with a sales receipt from Barney's. Type the number you receive just like that with the spaces into your search engine. Lots of foreign sites come up requiring translation. Hit the translation icon and you will see a picture of the fake bag listed with a company specializing in selling fakes. I would also like to quote from the fakefendihandbag website.
"On Ebay a seller had a Fendi bag advertised as authentic and the photo showed a serial number clearly as 8BN165 F0GU3. If you type that into Google you will nothing but foreign websites that have to be translated..THEY ARE FAKE HANDBAGS!! Don't get scammed.! A lot of buyers won't double check it but they need to. When buying in any online auction, you must get the serial number and check it out. The main part of the number starts with 8BR (but not always), so start there then type the rest of it into Google and check it out. If a seller refuses to give it to you for any reason then DO NOT BID."
Here is another one. A brown spy bag was listed for $1,494.99, serial number 8BR511 RQ1 F0GJ3. You might think the bag is legitimate..however after you type in the serial number into your search engine..check the sites that come up and click on the one listing TRADEKEY.COM..guess what..there is the Fendi spy bag same serial number..same stock picture..100's available and made in China. Price of bag $130.00. THE SELLER WHO IS DOING THIS IS ELEGANCE502. THEY HAVE ANOTHER ONE EXACTLY LIKE THE FIRST ONE THEY LISTED AT THE SAME PRICE AND WITH THE SAME SERIAL NUMBER. THE BUYER WHO PURCHASES THIS KNOCK-OFF WILL BE OUT $1,500.
If you buy in bulk the price at TRADEKEY is even cheaper. The market is flooded with the knock-offs coming out of China. The scammers are getting more sophisticated. They also read the guides. So get smart...If TradeKey has it listed..it is made in China..100% FAKE. Remember these fakes will have holograms, FAKE SERIAL NUMBERS, ENGRAVED HARDWARE and garment tags that say "MADE IN ITALY" WHEN THEY ARE NOT. AUTHENTICITY TAGS ON FAKE BAGS MEAN NOTHING! NEW SCAM IS A WHITE TAG WITH RED OR BLACK LETTERS STATING THIS TAG ENSURES AUTHENTICITY AND SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED. THE BAG IS A FAKE WITH A BOGUS SERIAL NUMBER. IF SERIAL NUMBER CONTAINS "F0G" IT IS A FAKE.
Here is a quick and easy way to check for authenticity. If you ask for the serial number and the seller will not give it to you because "they don't want the serial number used on replicas" the excuse is lame and the bag is a FAKE!! Also never bid on a bag if the seller is using a stock picture. Stock pictures are available all over the Internet. You have no idea what you are getting.
GUESS WHAT I E-MAILED FOUR SELLERS WHO ARE ADVERTISING THEIR BAGS AS 100% AUTHENTIC AND ASKED FOR THE SERIAL NUMBER SO I COULD VERIFY THE BAG IS AUTHENTIC..AND NO RESPONSE FROM THE SELLERS!!!! Buyers are paying hundreds of dollars for fakes. Fendi does not sell wholesale! Ever! The Fendi spy bag retails for about $2,000. If the bag is being sold for $50-100 starting bid and no reserve..huge red flag! It is a fake! Also most of the bags featured to the right of this guide..view similar items are fakes!!! PLUS IF THE SELLER TAKES THE MERCHANDISE BACK WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED..HUGE RED FLAG..THE BAG IS A FAKE...THESE SELLERS WILL DO ANYTHING TO AVOID NEGATIVE FEEDBACK TO THEY CAN CONTINUE THEIR SCAM!
People who knowingly sell fakes are criminals who are guilty of fraud and supporting child and slave labor. The workers making these bags earn about $5.00 a day. They work in horrible conditions and it's largely women and children who make these fakes! CHILDREN AGES 8-14 ARE OFTEN CHAINED TO SEWING MACHINES. A RING IS CHINA WAS JUST BUSTED. CHILDREN WERE CHAINED TO SEWING MACHINES AND HAD THEIR LEGS BROKEN SO THEY COULDN'T PLAY OUTSIDE. THEY WERE CHAINED TO THE SEWING MACHINES SO THEY COULD MAKE THE FAKES!!! GET A VISUAL OF THAT THE NEXT TIME YOU THINK ABOUT PURCHASING A KNOCK-OFF! Money from the piracy industry supports organized crime and terrorism around the world. Do a search and find out just how insidious this industry is. Do you really want to help support it? Any bag where the seller is in Hong Kong, Korea, China, Taiwan or Singapore is most likely selling a fake. Additionally lots of fake bags are sold in CA and New York City. Just because the seller has a US location does not mean it is authentic. Ebay is part of the problem by allowing these bags to be listed and re-listed. Ebay makes money from pirated products so they are legitimizing fakes and those who sell them! It's all about getting those fees!
Buy authentic! If Fendi is not in your price range look for a designer who is. Don't support the pirates who make knock-offs! These diseased maniacs rip off legitimate designs, artists and companies plus exploit people who are living in poverty by employing children and subjecting their workers to horrible conditions. Don't support them just so you can have a cool knock-off to impress your girlfriends. Look for the below items on an authentic Fendi: However, buyer beware! There are grade AAA replicas which have all of the items on the below list. They have authenticity tags inside the bag. These grade AAA replicas are available all over the internet. This list will help you distinguish from the obvious knock-offs. The only way I know to positively tell if the Fendi is authentic without physically examining the bag is the serial number on the authentication card. Get it from the seller and type it in your search engine. The FAKEFENDIHANDBAG site will give you lots of great info on spotting fake Fendis as well as other fake designer bags and will help you from getting scammed. The leather on a Fendi is smooth and soft. All stitching is expertly done, seams are even and the bag is uniform in appearance.
The list to help you immediately spot fakes is :
Fendi Zucca Signature Monogram Interior Lining. The fabric should very clearly printed.
Serial Number # ENGRAVED in leather on the tag inside the bag. (verify this with Fendi by typing it in your search engine. ONE SERIAL NUMBER FOR EACH BAG.
Fendi black hologram label inside the bag.
Garmet tag inside the bag which says, "Fendi Made in Italy.
All hardware on the bag has Fendi engravings.
Inside the bag there is a plate which has the Fendi logo and made in Italy engraved on it.
There should also be an authentication card with the serial number. If "F0G," OR "8BN" is part of the serial number it is a FAKE! 8BR may be part of a legitimate code. The most important thing is to type the serial number into your search engine. If foreign sites come up or if the bag is listed on TRADEKEY....it's a FAKE!
Additionally, I would not buy any high end designer item on Ebay due to all of the fakes that are allowed to be listed. Remember Ebay is a big flea market. Would you really trust a flea market vendor to sell you an authentic $2,000 Fendi? Plus you are spending hundreds possibly $1,000 on merchandise you cannot absolutely verify as authentic until you receive it. You are depending on a person's word and some pictures. Think about what you are doing and that old saying.."a fool and his money are soon parted.." Some buyers think they are getting a "great" deal and then discover the item is fake. It is very disappointing and costly. If you want an authentic Fendi I would recommend Saks or Neiman Marcus. You can contact their customer service on line or the in-store sales associates for help on locating other colors of the Fendi spy bag. Just because they don't have it listed on line or in the store doesn't mean they can't get it. I do not work for either of these fine companies nor do I sell their products. I just hate to see trusting buyers getting ripped off by the scammers on Ebay.
The on-line shopping with both of these stores is smooth and easy. You can check the coupons sites for free shipping and other discounts. Saks and Neiman Marcus are respected around the world. Buying from a company who is authorized to carry authentic Fendi products may be slightly more expensive but it will give you peace of mind. They care about your satisfaction, stand behind what they sell and want you as a repeat customer. It's worth it! This is not always true on Ebay.
